What an excellent stop for lunch! The large bao buns are delightfully fluffy, and come with a utensil to help you push your sammich stuff further into the bun. There was absolutely no grease with either of our meals, and it was the perfect amount of food to satiate our hunger and not be overstuffed.
I ordered the freeze dried bean curd with cheese sauce, and it was perfect. The breading on the tofu wasn't too thick, and the red cabbage and cucumber complimented the texture and flavors well. The tofu block itself has a good density to it. The cheese sauce was light and tasty, and had the right amount of drizzle to get a bit in each bite without oversaturating the thing (I hate overly sauced things).
Hubs got the falafel with sweet and spicy sauce. Falafel was fluffy and not over fried, with a light crisp on the outside. The sweet and spicy sauce was delicious 🤤, and balanced well with the falafel, despite previous concerns.
The donuts were not at all regretted. They are fried on the spot, with a nice light cakey texture. They shockingly aren't very greasy. Lastly, the ladies working here are absolutely delightful 😁

Read moreWe came here because this place offered something unique and creative that we hadn't seen so far in Japan. It was the best decision we could have made. Everything was delicious; the buns were soft and fluffy with a hint of sweetness and the filling had the right amount of seasoning, sauce and textural contrast that it made every bite different. And while it was a hot and humid July day, the outdoor seating was nice and relaxing.
Please keep in mind that these baos are massive and one is more than enough to fill you up; combo not necessary. But their fries are also good, so bring a friend and have one person order a combo so you can share the fries. We got the Plant Based Meat Tatsuta with garlic amazake sauce and Maitake Fritter with drink and fries combo and both blew out expectations out of the water. We highly recommend both and it's also nice that they give extra condiments so you can change up the flavor if you want.
This has now become one of our go to places in Osaka when we visit again. We wish the ladies running this amazing restaurant all the best and can't wait to see what else they come up with...
Read moreIt’s nice finding vegan options in Osaka! I usually don’t like buns but these were the perfect texture! They’re larger buns so one is enough for a person. I shared the maitake bun, tofu Tsukuba, and dried bean curd one with the fries and woah! The flavors were on point. The maitake was my favorite. These buns were different flavor profiles than what I’ve eaten here in Japan already. I highly recommend the fries because CRUNCH.
I’m picky about cross-contamination of meat/fish things fried in the same oil as my food and I’m grateful I found this place so I could eat something crunchy fried in oil that didn’t previous have meat or fish fried in it. They even specify what oils are used in which menu item (mostly rice oil but two items have olive oil).
Heads up, it’s a small shop with outdoor seating in something that looks more like a driveway. Seating is limited it but service is quick and the staff is super friendly. It’s...
