We came for the speciality drinks and the desserts as the cafe had many 5 star reviews.
Coconut matcha: enjoyed this, was refreshing however this was unfortunately the only redeeming item we ordered
Orange americano: tasted like orange juice with a shot of coffee poured over it, was not pleasant at all and the coffee was extremely bitter. the juice itself was very acidic and paired with the bitter coffee was not a good drink
Matcha cheesecake: I would rate this a 0 if it were possible. The waitress informed us it would be a 10 minute wait, we assumed the cheesecake needed more time to set, or they were brewing some fresh matcha for the decorations. We opted to wait as the photos of the matcha looked incredible and we were so excited to try it. What came out was an absolute abomination, the cheesecake was about 1cm thick, with cream oozing out of the sides. It looked like it was half melted or microwaved or literally she went out to the back room and whipped matcha powder with cream cheese together and slapped it onto a biscuit base (which FYI was barely held together). This looked nothing like any of the photos, and I am surprised the staff werent embarrassed to serve this. The cheesecake tasted warm, almost liquid and was overall a huge disappointment.
The girls at the cafe were nice hence why I’m providing 2 stars but honestly the food should be a 0 stars, but if you cannot serve the cheesecake to the standard that is advertised, you should just tell the patrons that it is unavailable rather than let us waste our money.
I don’t understand how they’ve managed 5 stars reviews across all of their customer reviews if this was the standard that...
Read moreChanced upon this small cafe tucked away in a corner and decided to spend my afternoon here. It was a wonderful respite after the packed itinerary I’ve been having for my trip so far in Japan! Ambience was perfect and music choices were excellent for those wishing to write with a cuppa. Various types of seating are available - I chose the high stool near the counter as it was quieter. I had the matcha cake and butter beer latte as well as the caramel latte, and all were so wonderful. The cafe also features handmade products by the boss for sale, as well as trinkets and accessories. Overall, a wonderful place to escape for some peace after shopping in the nearby...
Read moreWe walked in here by chance after seeing a long wait at Maze cafe around the corner and decided we wanted to be able to eat and get seated sooner. The storefront is very unassuming but the food and service is superb. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is such a cute little coffee shop/boutique perfect for breakfast, brunch, and lunch with aesthetically presented entrees. Staff and service were amazing, and they speak some English, so ordering as a foreign visitor was no problem. You gotta try the iced coconut americano! ☕️ Would definitely come back if I was a local or staying longer, and highly recommend this place for a quaint coffee break or nourishing morning...
