I did not have a great experience here as I was just accompanying my wife for her breakfast and I was really quite bummed to learn that we had to order at least one drink per customer AND there was a cover charge of 350¥ per guests. Which meant I had to spend more than I initially expected for breakfast.
The QR code was quite cumbersome to make the order and we waited quite long for our food to come, even when our drinks were finished, our food was still not here. There is the possibility that they missed out on our order as customers who ordered after us got their food first.
We ordered a short hot Hojicha latte and an iced tall pistachio latte. Both drinks were too sweet and had the lingering artificial flavouring taste :(
All this being said, when I looked around the food on other tables does look amazing, which may explain why the food takes so long.
We shared a custard french toast and it smells and looks amazing. It was really quite yummy.
Tldr: come here if you want drinks for each person, good picturesque food and don't...
Read moreWe came here for a late breakfast around 10 a.m. and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. After placing our order online, the staff kindly informed us that due to the high number of orders, the preparation of our meals would take about an hour. Drinks were served shortly after ordering.
The open kitchen is run by just one chef, which likely explains the longer waiting times. Still, the staff remained friendly and helpful whenever we needed something.
The food itself was tasty and well-prepared. All dishes were served at the same time, which we really appreciated given the busy morning. We also ordered one sweet dish as an extra, and even though we didn’t mention it, the staff smartly served it after we finished our main courses – a nice detail. The coffee was average, nothing special.
One minor inconvenience: the restrooms are located a bit further away from the main...
Read moreA place with lots of charm, great coffee, a lively and chatty (plus multilingual) staff, and some Western breakfasts not often seen in Japan.
The QR self order system is a little confusing, and there is a table charge without any item as compensation which is frustrating and unfortunate. The “choose bar or cafe” menu system is very confusing, as it meant I could not get the food and drink combination I wanted. Luckily, they had breakfast options all day!
The portion sizes were also a bit small, but it is a trendy style cafe popping up in an area not as known for it, so this makes enough sense.
I’ll happily go again to chat with the staff, but just to get takeaway coffee to avoid the unwanted service charge.
Feels like a brilliant place for...
