Read moreVisited June 2024 for lunch. Loved it! There is a queue but the wait wasn’t too long due to customers eating quite quick. Awesome fresh sushi selection in very reasonable pricing. Good range of alcoholic drinks like beer, sour, lemon sour, gin soda. I never liked Sour drinks due to low quality of the alcohol, so the Gin Soda was pretty good.
Impressive that they also have unique and creative dishes such as Japanese stew, seafood salad.
Great venue especially on a hot and/or rainy day as it is inside the underpass walkway so it’s air conditioned even if you have to wait. Also it’s right there if you walk out of 日本橋 station. Highly recommended!
Tip: if you go alone (even better as the wait is much shorter), you can order a selection of sushi which comes in 3 pieces trio so you can try all. For those who order the Prawn trio (super yummy) the prawn head is fried so the legs are edible and very good nibbles to go with beer. Don’t waste it!
Recommended dish for foreigners: Vinegared seaweed from Okinawa もずく as an appetizer. You don’t get this easily outside of Japanese. Delicious soft seaweed from nature, soaked in Vinegar and topped with some ginger. My theory is that the acidic/tangy flavour cleanses your palette so you can stuff in more sushi. It’s sooooo good and healthy as this seaweed only lives in the cleanest Okinawa sea, and probably something visitors won’t notice to order.
Last observation: the service is consistent to both locals and tourists so you don’t feel they would rip you off. Super casual and easy going vibe to go alone or with friends.
The only small downside is that it’s probably not the most kids friendly menu as most items are raw. But they have different tempura, egg sushi, cucumber roll which...
Read moreWe chanced upon this sushi restaurant one evening while shopping and boy were we glad we did. The first thing that caught our eye was the long line that formed outside the restaurant and you know what they say about long lines. We decided to return the next evening, got in after a half hour wait and frantically ordered almost half the menu. The sushi was simply divine. Soft, juicy, tender with nary a hint of fishiness that typically accompany lesser sushi. We smiled uncontrollably as we devoured sushi after sushi. The best sushi we've ever had in Osaka, hands down. This is one restaurant that we'll definitely remember and...
