Located at Namba Walk, Amato Maeda offers a lovely selection of Japanese sweets.
I tried the Mitarashi Dango Parfait, and it was absolutely delightful. The portion was just right, and the combination of ice cream, red bean paste, and brown sugar jelly delivered a satisfying sweetness. What really stood out was the warm mitarashi dango skewer – slightly savoury and beautifully balanced against the sweeter elements. A well-thought-out dessert with great contrast in both flavour and temperature.

The matcha icecream was smooth, have a nice dense matcha flavour, the rice cake ball skewer was chewing and the sauce was flavoursome. Whole thing was great. The daifuku was amazing, big in size and good in taste. Its actually better value than some of the small shops at market streets.
