The food was delicious and the interior of the place was impeccable. You can tell the owner it’s a person that cares about details and quality.
Now, my complaint: THE service!
The waitress was in a very bad mood, I spoke to her in English and she gave me a smug look. Hello, you are in the most touristic place of Osaka, if you don’t speak English you can say it. After that my partner who is Japanese made my questions in Japanese and she spoke with a low voice and even him couldn’t understand what she said, as if she didn’t even want to answer our questions! This made me so uncomfortable that I immediately wanted to leave. On the other hand, the menu is not very prepared for foreigners as it contains some English explanations but it leaves us with a lot of questions that could easily be explained if there was a more comprehensive menu. Or only in English menu.
If you are the owner reading this I would recommend you to choose properly your staff as this can damage your business very quickly.
Nowadays it’s not enough to have a good food, the service will determine whether you have repeat and happy customers or a business that will fail in such a competitive market.
From what I see in these reviews, more of your customers are travelers so I would keep an eye on these things I mentioned. And I’m not even saying that she should speak English, but she definitely didn’t want to be there, doing that job.
Also, I would suggest to serve a good quality COLA, I got mine full of ice and it became water in 10 seconds. A small bottle or can would make a better job 👍🏼
I’ve been wanting to go to this place for a long time. I’m a foreigner that lives in Osaka, and when I like a place I go there over and over again. I also manage 20 Airbnbs in Osaka and I usually include my favorite restaurants in my guests recommendations but unfortunately I don’t feel like sending my guests for a bad experience.
I really hope this gets better because the food...
Read moreTo start it off, I'm a filthy Yankee from the United States so take how I rank with a grain of salt.
For the non-Americans reading this, this joint gives you an idea on how burgers in the United States may be like. So i recommend it.
The food: I got the Mozzarella Brooklyn Mashed Beef with a Fruit HighBall and the Cheese Burger with a Jack and Coke.
The Mozzarella Brooklyn Mashed Beef is pretty much a burger patty with Mozzarella on top, it also came with rice so that was nice. I can't complain much about this one but only with two issues. I wish the patty was a bit larger and wish there was more fries. For the patty, the ratio of patty to rice was a 1 to 2. For the fries, a little bit more would set that American feel to it.
The Cheese Burger it tasted and felt like a burger that I would get back from the states albeit I'm not in the States and this burger is definitely not American but it feels like one! My only issue with this one is the fries again, a tad bit more would help with the American feel.
The service: They were great especially considering I'm a Yankee that can hardly speak Japanese, they were very respectful and dutiful in their jobs. I wish I could speak to them to tell them that the food was great but I guess this review will have to do.
The atmosphere: Feels like an American burger joint so props to...
Read moreMy partner loves burgers and we were recommended this location. When we arrived it was lunch and one hour till they closed. My neice has an allergy to egg and was worried there would be a mayonnaise based sauce and saw nothing on the menu she could safely eat. So me and my partner ordered full meals and drinks but the lady serving us was furious. I tried to explain that she was allergic, but she got very upset and snatched up the menus and stormed off angrily. I was shocked, I didn't even know what to say, or if we were even going to get our order and everyone just wanted to leave.
I understand it's not nice for someone to take up a seat who's not ordering but the restaurant was empty. Only one other table filled the entire time we were then.
It felt very uncomfortable. Would you have preferred we just leave without ordering anything? That's how it felt. It was hard to enjoy the food after that, we just wanted to leave right away.
Food wasn't worth it. Pitiful serving size for the price. Every even the salad had mayonnaise on it, so our fears were realized. We should have just left, but didn't want to be rude. Didn't get the...
