I stayed 9 nights in Feb2025. Ckeckin was easy and fast, i left my luggage early at 10am before checking at3pm, no problem.
All frontdesk staff was very friendly, helpful and polite, speaks a bit english, and no problem at all.
Breakfast was standard jap breakfast with eggs, noodles, chicken nuggets, wings, salad, veg , rice… etc
Room and toilets was clean, no noise at night, aircon was working well. Consistent hot water for shower
Hotel is new, and everything was great.
Do note, they provide 2 bottles water upon checkin - which is very normal . Convenient stores just next to hotel, local supermarket within 200m away, near to the over rated and overpriced Tourist Kuromon seafood market..
Near to namba area, namba station and dontonbori.
So, food, shopping all within walking distance
Excellent hotel services, staff and clean new rooms.. Yes- rooms are typically japan style , ie small room, i manage to put 2 x large size luggage on floor and seat, not much space left.. but again, this is normal for a japanese local hotel.
Whoever complained about rude staff, small rooms, etc . That is not true… please go to marriott, or hilton.. where price is 4x higher -maybe u get slightly bigger rooms

I have stayed in Welina Namba on 30 Dec 2024. Prior to that, I have shared numerous emails and visited the hotel front desk to appeal for an appreciative refund of the other Welina Hotel which I have failed to cancel before the charge date.
My appeal was of course unsuccessful and I blamed no one due to my own oversight. Hence, I checked out from my airbnb and stayed at Welina Namba for the rest of my trip. My escalated appeal was not brought up to the management for consideration and the manager/staffs just rejected me courteously.
As a consumer/guest, I felt disappointed that my concerns are none of your business and you followed the hotel rules and protocols sternly. If I would have been offered a small refund of the "unstayed" booking, I would have a better image of Welina and most probably will be a return guest. But alas, you did not see it from this point and apparently not in my shoes to consider the monetary loss.
Hopefully this review gets to the higher management/director, YOU should have a better solution for people like me. Following the hotel's policy isn't wrong, but being a considerate human is much much better. You will definitely win more returning guests in a way. Do not reply with a robotic standard reply as it is...

Total 6 can stay in this room. |The toilets and bathroom are conveniently separated so that its use can be maximized by the occupants. Toiletries are provided and water for the first day only. |There was no room cleaning until you check out. Rubbish can be placed outside your room which will be collected by housekeeping. Same goes for your used towels, etc. which will be replaced by new ones placed outside your room door. |The hotel was conveniently located at the Namba area and within walking distance to shopping areas and eateries. |Just beside the hotel is located a Lawson mini mart which sells convenient goods to foodstuff. |We did not include breakfast into our hotel room package as food outside seems more convenient.||Overall a good, clean and minimalist...
