Food: 3/5 Average at best if you like free spirited/non cohesive flavors Service: 4/5 Service was good Value: 3/5 Not a good value in my book (didn't go there for drinks) Ambiance: 4/5 Bar and table seating

Dropped by Viento several years back, had some high expectation based on some of the reviews that I had read online.

Ended up ordering a red sangria, olives, a house pizza and a beef roast.

The service dish turned out to be some pickled vegetables.

The red sangria wasn't what I would expect from a traditional sangria.

There is no prep work for olives so not much to say about the olives..

The pizza had a house made crust and actual cheese so that was a plus, but sadly it had what looked and tasted like low quality sausages. Given that the restaurant is named Viento, I expected some Chorizo or even a proper Spanish Salchicha as the topping for the pizza, I was certainly mistaken.

Next came the beef roast skewer, it took a while to get cooked given the size of the cubes of meat. The portion was large, and it was served with some greens, potato salad on a bed of french fries and a side of ketchup. That had me going like hmm...

The beef cubes didn't have any noticeable flavor that I could associate with any of the latin american/caribbean or Spanish cuisine that I am familiar with. The seasoning of the meat certainly left me perplexed because it wasn't appetizing and didn't enhance the flavor of the beef.

It was not a Brazillian/Agentinian Churrasco based sauce, nor was it a Middle Eastern Kebab flavoring with herbs and spices, nor an American Shish Kebab with BBQ sauce, nor a Japanese Kushiyaki, nor was it a wine reduction sauce of any kind that I could imagine.

Perhaps the concept of the restaurant is to be free like the "Wind" (Viento means wind in Spanish) and not have any particular attachment to any regional cuisines or food standards.

What I can say is that the flavors for the various dishes were very eclectic and non coherent, without any synergy, there was no rhyme nor reason for how the dishes were composed and seasoned. Pretty much felt like someone decided to get some ingredients together and cook them and call it a dish.

Perhaps it is a restaurant where people go for drinks and socialize, certainly it can't be...

My wife and I walked past your bar a few nights ago and were immediately drawn to the enticing aroma of western food, which we had been craving. Upon our visit, we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, the selection of drinks, and the inviting atmosphere. It was evident that a great deal of passion goes into making our dining experience truly memorable. Additionally, the affordability of your menu was a delightful surprise, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful meal without straining our budget. We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned on our last night in Osaka. I wholeheartedly recommend Viento bar to anyone seeking delicious western cuisine in a...

I was absolutely blown away by this spot in Osaka! I kept ordering more dishes because it was so quality and delicious. The food takes a bit of time because you can tell the chef wants to perfect it.

I ordered the grilled pork belly and fresh coriander salad. They had a fusion of flavors from Thailand and Korea. The salad was indeed fresh and tasted like a Japanese version of a sweet and spicy papaya salad. The grilled pork had korean influences and who knew that Korean fermented octopus (ojinguh juht) and pork belly would go so well together! Absolutely delicious and I would definitely come back for...

If you want to publicly orgasm I would highly recommend going to this restaurant and getting the lamb. From beginning to end that entire dish was DIVINE and I had to close my eyes to keep the memory of the taste. I wish I could come here everyday for the rest of my life. Honestly it's the best food I've tasted in all of Japan and I've been living here almost 4 years 😳 if I could give this place 100 stars I absolutely would omg I will definitely be back. And the customer service is awesome!! Be aware though, it is an open style restaurant and it can get very hot but WHO CARES? THE FOOD IS WORTH THE SWEAT 🤣
