We have been in Japan for 8 days. Every place we went was 100% satisfactions, food was delicious, service was great, until we met this place. Our server was a lady, not Japanese. I don’t know if she was having bad day or what. She did not welcome us, not even smile. But I am not complaining about her appearance. I can handle it. When we asked about menu her response was NO English. And she answered most of my questions NO, that was it. One word “NO”. On top of that her attitude was horrible. It was like she was mad just for us being there. So we were going to leave and all of sudden she said “wait a minute “ in English and she called the owner. Owner which was korean guy explained the menu. Their beef portion seems too big for my daughter (12 years old) so my wife and daughter decided to share it. But owner kind of insisted each person order one set. Because of this and mostly our server’s nasty attitude we decided to leave and asked check. We ordered 3 bottle of coke (450 yen), 2 cup of tea (400 yen if I remember right). Server brought them along with 5 banchan (don’t know what it was). Owner brought 4,500 yen check. I asked him what is 4,500 yen for . He pointed to 5 small dish of banchan which we did not order yet. Lol So we paid around $33 for 3 coke, 2 cup of tea and left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I hope they understand they are making Japan looks bad to tourists. And hopefully better service...
Read moreI want to get zero score! The experience was very bad. The host attitude is very rude. Even I think the host is racist!I will not come to this restaurant any more. And I will not recommend any friend to come here!! And even have a bad impression to Japanese.
Well, I just received the feedback from the host, said that he had to protect his staff. I totally cannot understand what does he mean by ‘protect’. If he means that I asked the staff to change the grill plate. I don’t know who will come to protect my customer rights. As a customer, the steak was over cooked because the grill plate was burnt and the smoke will effect other customers dining environment, so I asked if it is possible to change it. I don’t know how do they communicate. Besides that we have no other communications. And just after we finished our meal just one second, the host came to clean our table, which is very very rude! And he totally didn’t want to solve the problem or to figure out the misunderstanding, just very rude to ask us to pay and leave! I felt very helpless, and I paid the bill because I already finish the meal ( by the way, the taste was just normal), but I felt like that I ‘have to’ accept these disrespectful behavior. I thought Japan is a nation of etiquette, but I was so astounded what I...
Read moreWe had an appointment for TeamLab Borderless, and my wife wanted to eat nearby, so using the reliable Google Maps to find a highly reviewed and rated restaurant, this restaurant came up on top in the results. It did not disappoint. The Korean gentleman who owns the restaurant was the most gracious host, accommodating us during their lunchtime, since one of their items had run out (I guess it was super popular during lunchtime, since we showed up for a late lunch). The portions were very large, and the taste of everything (banchan and main entrees) was incredible! And talk about value all around... taste and quality was far above what the lunch special cost. We were just floored. His service was exemplary! He conversed with us quite a bit and gave lots of great advice. After the meal, he even walked us out to the corner to point out exactly where we needed to walk in order to get to our destination, as well as suggesting other highlights in which to check out. I do need to state that he was able to do this for us since our late lunch meant very little other customers in the restaurant, so please don't expect he'll walk you out as well, unless you're at the tail end of service time, haha.
To summarize: Exceptional service, taste, and value. What more can...
