This is the place where I was first introduced to tsukemen, which is those dipping ramen. The broth they used is very salty which pairs really well with their noodle. The location is very convenient. It was a 5min walk righ off Akihabara station. The place is small and packed with people so expect a wait when you are there.
The place is super friendly and really passionate about their cooking. The way you pay here is really interesting too. You pay through a vending machine and a ticket comes out, you then seat yourself onto the ramen bar and they serve you based on the ticket you ordered.
So onto the food itself. The noodle is thick and really bouncy when bit, It really clings onto to the broth when you dip it in. The broth was really salty but was extremely flavourful. What really stood out was the two types of Chashu they give you. One is bacon and the other is the normal type. Both are really juicy and full of flavor. The bacon one the chef broil the surface so you get a charred taste to it. Both are chashu but both offer completely two unique experience.
Would definitely come back If I visit...

This is way better than the franchise back home - the flavours are not salty till it's cloying but this might not be something for someone with a lighter palate.
I ordered the Large portion of noodles and I kinda regret I didn't go for the crazy portions of 1.5-2.5x because it was that good. The noodles were thicker than your average ramen but it totally pairs with the heaviness of the tsukemen sauce.
Even the toppings; beansprouts, thick pieces of chashu, and the yolky centre egg. Everything just hit the spot.
Apologies to the staff, who I didn't even make a sound to due to the language barrier! The food and service was great, thank you for the meal! Sending appreciation through...
Read morewas hesitant to try it since it is an international chain now and i didnt have good impression from its overseas location but im surprised at how good this was, definitely cravable, thick and flavorful soup and the noodle is the right thickness to have a good chew without raw center.
i went back for the ramen because i saw someone else ordering it and it was a very delicious bowl of jiro-style ramen. be prepared for a very salty soup and strong garlic flavor, not for the beginners but a solid bowl if you know what to expect.
Went back another time to try the mazesoba and it is my favorite by far, especially when mixed with the tabasco powder. i wish theres more garlic and...
