When I found out that there was Khmer (Cambodian) food in Japan, I knew right away that my husband and I needed to try this place ASAP! I felt a sense of nostalgia walking in, from the smell of the authentic ingredients to the classic Khmer music playing in the background. Definitely feels like home away from home. My husband and I ordered a good amount of food and we even went in for seconds on a couple of dishes. If you haven't already tried Khmer food and you would like to explore your pallet, this restaurant would be it.

I am able to speak a decent amount of Khmer (at least enough to hold a conversation) and the staff were friendly and warm when we spoke to them in Japanese, Khmer, and a little bit of English.

We had a little difficulty trying to find the restaurant because we were looking at the old Google photo and it showed us the previous location, but they are located Maynds Tower Restaurant and Shop. They have been there for a year and a half now and the atmosphere is nice and quaint.

Please check out this restaurant if you are in Shinjuku looking for some quality...

I came for the second time. But this time I met a very unfriendly staff. I think one of your female staff is very rude. The food was good. But when I move the cup from my tray and to put it on the table to get some tea, she hold my cup and put it back to the tray, and then this lady saying No need to move your cup. I don’t understand is she working here for the first day or why she thinks she can do this passive aggressive behavior to a customer? Other than that unpleasant staff I think the food is good. I do think you need to train some of your staff for sure. I came to have lunch and they need to...

The great tasting food was a pleasant surprise from what I've come to expect from Asian restaurants in Japan. The friendly owner came around to talk with our table and recommended many unusual dishes. We tried several and all were great, so I recommend you call over the owner and get his advice before ordering. This would explain why this family have been in business for so many years. Great service and excellent food. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant was packed on a Friday evening with many large groups, so book in advance, especially...

About 3800 yen total for two so a bit pricey for my budget but the kabocha cake was really good. With the coconut ice cream, it was amazing. Overall, the spices and lemongrass are tastes i don’t get often in Japan so might be good for a change. Just be aware that the taste isn’t completely authentic in order to cater to non-Cambodian people. My Cambodian friend says it’s because Cambodians don’t eat out often. For me, i wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Just be careful not to order the Chinese dishes thinking it is a Cambodian dish.

I had the lunch set of kuy teav (a rice noodle based dish with super tasty soup), chicken salad with sweet and sour condiments (boiled chicken in sweet and sour dressing), khmer curry with super rich coconut milk taste, and finally some desserts of tapioca balls and steamed rice cake stuffed to a sliced of pumpkin. I came at night the other day and the restaurant was packed with people so I decided to come back again for lunch and I am so satisfied with both the taste and the portion.
