Truffle specialized restaurant in Roppongi. Went for dinner and had a course menu with wine pairing. The course itself was good, and we could select dishes for every piece of the course. However, naturally that beat the purpose of the wine pairing… Which I felt that became very unnecessary, and poorly done. That being said, the food was very good. The starter of a modern take on burrata cheese was very good, and the tagliatelle pasta was also beautifully made. I will admit that I did not think that the lamb on the main dish was que that good. It was a bit dry. The yuzu cheesecake for dessert was quite good as well. Overall, I thought that there were creativity in the cuisine - with proper flavor. There were three in our party and we each had one of the three different course menus, with truffles used in every or almost every dish. The service was attentive, the food was elegant, tasty and satisfying, and the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was very nice. And the price was quite reasonable topping out at only about 7000 yen for the 5-course lunch set (it’s easy to spend double that elsewhere). We also appreciated its location next to the Ritz Carlton in a plush and fun shopping mall that includes many interesting boutique stores, some fantastic dessert cafes (in case you need a second!) and of course the Suntory museum. My partner ordered set B (¥5500) with amuse bouche (amazing egg truffle), pate de compagne, added an extra truffle risotto (¥900), seaweed fugu with freshly shaved truffle (deep fried blowfish inside a seaweed cover which was very unique and tasty).
