Asada — Restaurant in Tokyo

Situated in residential area, rather out of the usual place you'd expect to find a restaurant, and there it is. An old gentleman runs this on his own, and at 7pm, was empty when I stumbled in. The gentleman Tried to help me pick something i like from the all-Japanese menu on the wall with his best English, and showed me best of hospitality esp reassure me when the beer bottle slipped off my grip and spilled some beer on the table... Appetizer is slices of Kamaboko（made of fish) with wasabi and soy sauce. The superior unagi rice is superb, I added Japanese pepper to enhancr the flavors. And this came with the unagi liver soup, quite refreshing with the herbs....

Our hotel was a few blocks away and I wanted to try something other than sushi and ramen. Read the reviews and decided to try this place. The food is great. A bit salty for me, but my kids loved it.
