Posting after at least 10 visits. The super camel black is my go to drink. Has the richest amount of coffee they say, but every time it’s hit and miss. It’s either rich or just same as the cheaper version of it. I’ve protested on several occasions over the phone, however the staff are outrageously positive thinkers and just won’t accept criticism, never making an attempt to appease an angry customer.
Once there was an incident when the cup had a hole though it covered by the outer insulator, the coffee had slowly dripped all over my jeans and shoes. I must have been quite the eye sore! Only that time they made me a new coffee, but failed to take any reparations for the damage they caused. It was probably a inner prank that befell on a total stranger, but that kind of unprofessional vibe is present in their customer service.
The last straw was when I ordered the super camel black, and they kept calling “person who ordered americano” instead of my name which I was asked in advance. Waiting about a minute, the staff came over recognizing me by my face handing me a drink saying “here’s your americano”. I was shocked to hear that they again had downgraded my preference to a watery drink such as americano. I again confronted saying that is not what I ordered, and I ordered the super camel black. He didnt blink an eye saying “oh americano in our speak is super camel black”. The taste was exactly the cheaper version of it. Enough with...
Read moreThis is a review of the service I received at Camelback. I would like to make a disclaimer that I didn’t try any of their food or drinks. I was unsure of what I wanted to order, and I guess I must have been looking at the menu too long for the cashier’s liking because I was told to go outside so that he could serve the two guys in line behind me. I had no problem with that. What I did have a problem with is the tone that the cashier spoke to me in, his overall body language, and the look in his eyes as he was talking to me. I was extremely taken aback by his attitude and was so turned off by it that I lost my appetite and left to go somewhere else. It seems like my experience at this place isn’t uncommon either, according to some of the other reviews. I was surprised because many people rave about how friendly the staff are. However, it seems like they pick and choose who they’re friendly to. I hope they fix the way they treat...
Read moreSuch friendly and outgoing staff with a clear passion for espresso and pride in their food offerings. The coffee was nutty and chocolatey without being too bitter (a wonderful surprise for such a dark looking roast).
We went back and got TWO MORE egg sandos. The bread is soft and perfectly toasted, coated in butter, and a touch of wasabi. The tamago omelette inside is sweet and artfully layered.
The Italian Prosciutto Sando (get the cheese!) is a delight for anyone who loves a super crispy topped baguette and buttery melt in your mouth prosciutto paired with fresh tomato and the perfect kiss of black pepper.
Definitely a little pricier than most places we've been to, but the level of English and customer service they all possess makes it...
