We didn’t have a reservation but decided to try our luck waiting. Staff told us it would likely be over 30 min. We were fine with that. We asked for a seat inside as we had a child with us. We gave up after an hour and 20 min as the staff kept coming back to tell us it shouldn’t be much longer again and again.

As someone who is well travelled and has had many mapo tofu before, this is probably the best mapo tofu that I’ve had. I was utterly impressed with the chili oil that they used to cook the mapo tofu. It was fragrant, although there was oil, it did not feel too overly oily, instead it was very balanced.

I would definitely go back again for a hearty meal. I want to give a special shoutout to the drink/beverages there, because it was unexpectedly good!

Awesome value for money during lunchtime - the Mapotofu set is only ¥1350 includes a small broth soup, mapotofu, rice, two side dishes of pickles and a small almond dessert.
