Listen up, folks, because I've got a bone to pick with this sorry excuse for a restaurant! Their ads might promise the moon, but let me tell you, it's all smoke and mirrors. We rang them up to reserve a table for 10, only to be hit with a sucker punch – a sneaky 5,000 yen penalty if even one person dared to bail. And don't get me started on their 'all you can eat' deal supposedly priced at 6,900 yen per head. Somehow, though, with just 8 of us, the bill skyrocketed to a mind-blowing 120,000 yen! Oh, but that's not all – they nickel and dime you for everything, from cover charges to seating fees, and even have the audacity to charge 300 yen for a splash of tabasco sauce on your oysters! Need water? Well, brace yourself for another bamboozling charge! Who knows what other tricks they pulled on us while they saw us tourists coming from a mile away. Consider this your warning: steer clear of this seafood scam! Sure, the food might be passable, but it's certainly not worth the small fortune they'll swindle out of you. Stay far, far away – you'll thank me later!
!!!!!!A REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE!!!!!!!
Thank you for your response. However, your version of events is a gross distortion of the truth. Contrary to your assertion, we were not informed about any cancellation charges when we agreed to dine at your establishment. We were explicitly told that the price for the all-you-can-eat option was 6,900, not the exorbitant 8,800 you claim in your response or the other countless charges you mentioned.
Furthermore, the behavior of your waitress was utterly unprofessional, as she visibly displayed disdain with eye-rolling gestures each time she attended to our table. While I recognize that cultural differences may exist regarding what constitutes an all-you-can-eat offering, the disrespectful treatment we endured was completely unwarranted.
Had Grace been aware of your cancellation fee policy at the time of booking, we would have reconsidered patronizing your restaurant. It is a common courtesy in the hospitality industry to waive cancellation fees for one or two individuals, yet your establishment chose to enforce this penalty without regard for our circumstances.
Despite feeling slighted by your punitive actions, we opted to honor our commitment out of respect. However, your subsequent treatment towards us was nothing short of a slap in the face. It is evident that we were singled out and subjected to differential treatment, which was glaringly obvious to everyone present.
I implore prospective patrons to carefully consider their dining options before choosing to dine at your establishment. Our experience serves as a cautionary tale, highlighting the discriminatory practices and lack of integrity exhibited by your restaurant. It is my sincere hope that others heed this warning and make informed decisions to avoid being mistreated and...
Read moreDo not come - the seafood is GROSS!!!
At first I was intrigued by this restaurant because of its nice interior and exterior, as we went and sat down it was clear that the service did not match up. As soon as we went in it was obvious that the owner of the restaurant did not appreciate us going in and had an unbothered attitude, I don’t know why though, maybe because we are foreigners? (However the waitress was quite nice and had a pleasant attitude therefore the two stars for service). Putting the service aside, my friend and I ordered 5 dishes: Tomato and crab cream pasta, shrimp Cesar salad, 5 pc of fresh oyster, 5pc oyster platter and urchin rice ball. Shockingly, THE ONLY DISH THAT WAS OK WAS THE SALAD!!! A common occurrence with the dishes was that the seafood was EXTREMELY bitter and didn’t taste fresh. I couldn’t even swallow down the urchin without taking a sip of my drink as it was that bitter!!!! I have had a lot of oysters in my life from all over the world but I’ve never had oysters as disgusting as this!!!! There are so many other restaurants in Japan that you can get oysters for cheaper and would taste so much better!!! For the pasta, the sauce and pasta was not bad but the crab was ALSO EXTREMELY BITTER and I ended up not eating any at all. There is no bad intentions behind this review, but I just hope that the owner can take into consideration of the materials used for their dishes and also improving their attitude to customers. Other than that, if you are looking for a place for good seafood then DEFINITELY...
Read moreThis place had a table charge of 550 pp but I’m not sure what for. We didn’t get water and didn’t even get the hand towels. We ordered crab and I had to specifically ask them to bring us hand towels. Thought this was what the table charge was for??
We ordered crab, prawns and clams. Clams were tasty but only 6 in a portion. Prawns: did not like the flavours. The garlic butter was soooo garlicky. The salsa and basil just didn’t work for me. The prawn meat was mushy/ soft for some of them.
Crab was ok but very plain. Would have preferred that it was seasoned a bit more.
The atmosphere was also ok, the place was not full at all and they initially put us at a corner table (smallest table), and we asked to move to a bigger one.
The chairs didn’t have back rests so not the most comfortable chair either.
Overall I think if you’re going to name your restaurant Crab shrimp then you better make sure your crab and shrimp dishes are 10/10 but for me they were...
