essence Terrace Dining BAR — Restaurant in Tokyo

Had a wonderful lunch today at "essence" Terrace Dining BAR in Ginza, Tokyo. The restaurant has a modern and stylish atmosphere, and its location right in the heart of the Ginza district makes it a perfect stop while exploring the area.

I ordered the suggested lunch menu, which was very reasonably priced at around 2,200 yen (roughly 50 SAR). It included a flavorful soup, fresh salad, and a delicious main course. I also added dessert and coffee, which were both excellent and nicely presented.

On Wednesday night (Sep 25, 2024), we sat at the counter waiting for our food. As we enjoyed our drinks, we noticed the waiter washing glasses and making drinks for other customers. We were surprised to see that the glasses were not rinsed properly, as there were still soapy residue and bubbles visible. We exchanged concerned glances.

While we continued to wait for our meal, we observed the waiter washing glasses again and making drinks with soapy water. We decided to cancel our order and eat somewhere else. We hope that this feedback will be shared with the restaurant owner and encourage the waiter to rinse the glasses thoroughly before preparing drinks...

What a great find this little gem that is tucked in the alleyway of Kabukiza Theatre. A cozy minimalist restaurant that exceeded our expectation with the amazing food at very affordable price. We had seafood salad, beef tendon with collagen, Squid ink pasta and seafood risotto. The food was so delicious, fresh and well presented. The service was amazing and had a very friendly and attentive manager. As token of appreciation, he gifted me with two bottles Japanese “Shichimi” after observing me how I enjoyed the condiments with my meal.
