I stayed here for two weeks with my husband during cherry blossom season. I chose this location because I wanted to stay in Ginza and that it has a washer/dryer machine. ||PROS: This location is close to 2 metro stations (Ginza Station - 5-6 minute walk) and Higashi-Ginza Station (1-2 minute walk). It was unfortunate that there was 1-2 metro entrances for the Higashi-Ginza Station that was under construction so I had to utilize a further one. No biggie as its great to have more than one metro line to travel around Tokyo. ||Tip: If you need to pick up the 72 hour metro card, there's a vending machine at Ginza Station. I highly recommend you use this to travel using the metro line (i.e., the subway/train lines that have a O and not a square). ||No issues with the laundry machine other than I recommend you start the load when you are traveling around Tokyo in the day time (i.e., don't run the machine at night because it will get hot if you have the dryer cycle running). ||Room: I got one of the smaller rooms with the hotel (moderate-double size bed) because I was on a budget. If I could afford it, I would definitely recommending splurging and booking the bigger ones. The room was great other than one small clog in the shower which the hotel promptly fixed. I gotta say, I was amazed with the brand of soap, body wash and hair products during the stay. It was by far one of my favorites. Don't forget to ask the front desk for the same brand [POLA] face wash samples. The kettle and microwave was a nice added touch. ||The view was nice and bed was comfortable. It did the job. The house-keeping was always prompt and respectful of our items in our room. No issues, staff was great. This location is located very close to 7-11, Family Mart and Lawsons. I had no issues walking to all three and heading back to my room to eat. ||Note: The hotel has two entrances and the back entrance is really convenient for taxi/uber to pick you up, as oppose to the one facing the main street. I had no issues with my uber driver finding the back entrance of this hotel. Another reason why I enjoyed this hotel is that if you walk 5 minutes towards Muji/Uniqlo stores, they do close the entire main street down on Sundays so tourists/guests may enjoy the entire streets of the heart of Ginza. ||CONS: Room was just a tad too small, elevator can be quite slow at times depending on how many guests are using it. I thought it was awkward that the hotel room door opened outward instead of inward. Just be careful when you open and hope no one is on...
Read moreTHE WORST HOTEL EVER !!!! |Old facilities , dust smelly , tiny rooom - AND BAD SERVICE !!!!! |My daughter accidentally drew crayons on the carpet. When The cleaner went into the room and saw the painting , the hotel has left a note that I needs to go to the front desk to compensate. I have children (2 babies) I am very busy taking care of children and the room is small so it is very messy. I didn't see that tiny announcement paper. It looks like the sightseeing tickets / bills I throw randomly in the room. And when I came back late at night, the hotel locked my room and asked me for payfine (cleaning the carpet fee) . I'm ok, my child made a mistake, I'm willing to pay . And the amount is not big - 16500 yen. But I complained that it was not polite when locking the guest's room where I was staying. They can ask me to pay before checking out (i stay 2 nights more , they have enough time to disscuss with me) . I'm ready to pay. BUT the Receptionist with an arrogant face told me that the manager asked me to lock the room for keeping my stuffs in case I ran away ?????? And the attitude like me is a criminal who destroy the hotel . The receptionist constantly interrupted me with an inpolite attitude many times (the young woman has bob hair - Koyama Sonoko) |I really pissed off at the both manager (Kazuya Toyoizumi) - who made a decision lock my room (he said that is hotel's policy ) well , this hotel like to lock the guest's room than meet the guest to solve the problems , he can find the better way to tell me the problem without lock my door (maybe next day can stick the announcement on the door , i can easily see )???? |And the receptionist - she act and behaviour - I NEVER MEET IN ANY HOTELS BEFORE. |And the last , i sent an email to Hotel complain , and after a week already , NO ONE...
Read moreThere were limited options for a 9-night (10-day) stay in Tokyo, when trying to book one hotel (instead of switching) in the city center. The hotel’s location was very good, walkable to major shops, with direct metro line from Haneda Airport. |The room was small as expected, with sufficient room amenities. I paid a premium (US$291 per night) for the “bigger” room type (25m2) with washing machine, used it twice during my stay. Other than that, below points left much room to improve. |1. Poor service of the front desk. I arrived at around 8:20am and asked if I could access my room earlier than the 3pm check-in time. “No, the check-in is at 3pm.” was the response from the Japanese woman receptionist. I had to ask: “Do you have earlier check-in? How much does it cost? etc.” which should have been offered by her. They charged ¥1,000 per hour for early check-in starting from noon (12pm). This poor attitude, lack of courtesy, was rarely encountered in my previous trips in Japan. This was not only below Japanese standards, but also below the standards of a 3-star hotel. |2. AC was loud. I had to turn it off every night in order to sleep. Though my room on the 7th floor faced the main street, the street noise quieted down after midnight, not a problem. |3. Limited cleaning (trash removal, towel change) was possible every day, but everything else was self service. The actual room cleaning (making the bed, replenishing room amenities, cleaning the room) was “offered” for over 7-night stay. |4. Despite the location and room amenities, unfortunately, the overall stay was marred by the front desk’s attitude which made me feel unwelcome here. I’d not recommend it to international travellers. It’d be ok maybe for a...
