Excelsior Caffé — Restaurant in Tokyo

I like this place! Close to Tokyo station, spacious and clean with plenty of seats (variety of seating). Fast free wifi available and laptop friendly.

Staff are fast and friendly enough. Nice and relaxed inside with quiet music in the background. Other customers were quiet. Smoking allowed but thankfully in separated area.

Nice selection of reasonably priced drinks, sandwiches and desserts

Hard to find a pleasant cafe in Tokyo that isn't over crowded and/or over-priced. My favourite chain in Japan so far.

東京駅に直結する駅ビルにも多数のカフェがあるからか、目の前に東京駅があるにもかかわらず、比較的混雑していないカフェです。席数も多く、席の構成も多くが1～2人用であるため、おしゃべりに興じる客はあまり多くなく、休日でも比較的静かにひと時を過ごせそうです。もっとも、カフェの周辺がビジネス街ということもあり、特に平日はPCを広げて作業するビジネスマンを多く見かけるため、平日はやや客の回転はよくありません（それでも、席を確保するまで長く待たないといけない、ということはありません）。 店内にはいくつか段差があります。車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも利用できるよう、段差のない箇所にもテーブル席はありますが、利用の際は注意した方がよさそうです。 給仕されるドリンクや料理の質、スタッフの接客対応の質は、他のエクセルシールカフェと遜色ありません。

Perhaps because there are many cafes in the station building directly connected to Tokyo Station, this caf is relatively uncrowded despite the fact that Tokyo Station is right in front of it. The cafe has a large number of seats, and most of the seats are for one or two people, so there are not many people chatting, and you can spend a quiet time even on holidays. However, since the area surrounding the cafe is a business district, especially on weekdays, there are many businessmen working on their computers, so the customer turnover is a little slow on weekdays (although you never have to wait long to get a seat). There are some steps in the restaurant. There are tables in the area without steps for wheelchairs and other disabilities, but it's advisable to be careful when using the tables.
