Gonpachi is an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends ambiance, service, and cuisine. The moment you step inside, you're transported to a traditional Japanese setting that feels both authentic and inviting. The ambiance is warm and atmospheric, with beautiful wooden interiors, softly glowing lanterns, and an open kitchen where you can watch the skilled chefs at work.

The service at Gonpachi is top-notch. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and attentive care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening.

Overall, Gonpachi offers not just a meal, but an experience. The ambiance creates a perfect backdrop for any occasion, and the service makes you feel truly valued as a guest. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a...

I immediately liked how the restaurant was set up since walking in - they had a central kitchen where everything was prepared and a rectangular shaped table where customers sit around. Everything felt warm and welcoming and spacious even if the restaurant wasn’t that big.

Their sushi bites were uniquely presented. The taste was fresh (but nothing that special) and came in big portions. My favorite bite was the salmon/ ikura and uni/ikura. You could choose to pair the toppings with rice or cauliflower rice. The beef one was disappointing as there were hardly any on there and most of it was the cauliflower.

Back in my country this could have been doubled the price in this setting, quantity of food.

Really enjoyed the experience and ambience here. Located right across from Harajuku station. After dinner I walked opposite to do some beauty products shopping at Cosme -...

Quindi no iPad, no trenini, no tecnologia, qui siamo avvolti davvero nel passato.

Visited the popular Gonpachi Nori-Temaki, a favorite among international travelers. I tried the salmon & ikura, uni & ikura, and yam with spicy cod roe temaki. Each topping was served generously on sushi rice and wrapped with fresh nori. The DIY hand roll style made it fun and interactive. The uni & ikura was especially rich and creamy, while the salmon combo was perfectly balanced. The yam and spicy cod roe had a nice crunch with a bit of heat—great contrast. I also had the karaage (fried chicken), which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—classic and satisfying. The restaurant has a casual and stylish vibe, with friendly staff and English support, making it very foreigner-friendly. A great late-night spot for light bites or sharing plates with friends.

It was different sushi in more homemade-style but it tasted very well. Would recommend Karaage fried chicken for snack and 5 temaki set. The food service was fast and we get entertained by watching them making the food. The service is explicit where the staff makes sure they greet you loudly and cheer you to the seating, comes and check on you occasionally while we are eating to make sure we have everything and waves goodbye until you are out of sight. The manager Nishimura who is also the chef makes everyone feel so special with once you enter the front door by waving and welcoming the guests. They have a perfect team with Chamil and the rest of the staff who are so so lovely to everyone who walks in.
