Le Marais — Restaurant in Tokyo

It is neither French nor Italian restaurant but the price is very high end. In fact the taste of food is good but service is very bad. Either they could put a sign saying not welcome non Japanese guest or just put English translations of menu doesn't cost too much compare to their food price.

As soon as I wanted to ask about English menu, the waiter just took away the set menu in Japanese therefore I have to order aLa Cart at normal price. It is fine but isn't it rude that just turn his back and left.

There is a black board with daily special (I think) that the waiter will go and explain every table, certainly not me, nobody care !

Can you imagine they serve me the apertiser without bread !!!!! But I see all other guests are having bread !! And they serve apertiser without fork and knife, but using the fork and knife on the table which is for beef ! After using them for apertiser, keep them for main course ! I will see this arrangement in cheap restaurant but not in this kind of restaurant which have a table charge of Yen 330 and give me a piece of sweet date which suppose to arrive before everything BUT they gave me after the apertiser !

Everything is wrong! Everything is just randomly done !

I don't understand in Japan even in the park people talk in low voice so everywhere is quiet. But inside this restaurant people is talking like in the fish market.

I don't recommend this restaurant to non Japanese speaker. Terrible service at...

Please don’t come here. The manager (Tencho) is super Racist. The female server and the manager after calling din’t come to our table. They were super rude. I have never seen this kind of behavior of Japanese ever. They made the bill and we wanted to order more. We didn’t do anything. We Just asked to order. We stayed at the nearby ICI Hotel so stopping here was easy. The food was 1st class. We had a warm salad which was top notch. Also had mussels and fries accompanied by a serving of Wagyu beef. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you want a break from Japanese. The staff were perfect even with limited English, which was much better than my Japanese.
