Read moreI came here for lunch but felt like I had a really small snack after I had finished. I would have liked some chili sauce but it didn't come with that and instead came with some sweet soy sauce and ginger and other sauce. I think the test is pretty authentic and you get a clear chicken soup before the meal but... For almost a thousand yen I felt like something was missing. To be fair this area is an expensive part of town so I'm sure a lot of their costs go into paying the rent so I guess we shouldn't expect any bargains.
I've been to Singapore and eating the chicken rice there and I suppose this is pretty close to the authentic one. The chicken I had was pretty juicy and didn't seem very oily.
They are so busy and crowded especially on weekends so the service is a bit rushed and you're told to sit down and you order through a QR code so it seems very automated. For some people this may be nice but I like actually having contact with my servers or a little bit of small talk. I wonder how people without smartphones order...
Note that this is a small size rice portion. I shouldn't have gotten a smaller size but ordered it by accident with the automated menu.

Read moreA tasty interpretation of Hainan Chicken. The chicken was lean and the chicken rice is not oily. The soup was clear and refreshing whilst still maintaining a good level of flavour. I would prefer a little more fat content, however I also feel a lot less guilty eating it, particularly as there is free refill of the chicken rice. Amazing! You don't even need to ask, as they walk around offering refills. For less than 1k yen, this is very reasonable.
Most impressed with their service, their thoughtfulness and going above and beyond particularly for my wife who was pregnant at the time.
