Dec 7, at around 19:00 for dinner. We got seated immediately and the service of both the ladies working were wonderful. I was looking for a restaurant for my last dinner here in Japan and I am sad that I didn’t discover this place sooner. It was probably one of the best tonkotsu broth I’ve ever had. It was so creamy, yet light enough to finish the whole bowl without feeling icky. The meat was sliced thick, which wasn’t my personal preference but nonetheless delicious. The gyoza were juicy, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. Probably my favourite meal during my two week trip in Japan and would love to visit them again when I do come back for travels.

This place was delicious! On a cold, rainy, Tokyo day, we headed to the restaurant district to purchase a knife set, and found this ramen spot near the train station. The owners were very attentive and immediately offered us an English menu. We have learned to say the basics in Japanese (hello, goodbye, thank you, etc) but definitely cannot read a menu. They had a nice variety and great additions as well. The pickled ginger and fresh garlic were much appreciated. The ramens came out fast and were so flavorful! It was reasonably priced and warmed us right up. Highly recommend when visiting Tokyo!

Chanced upon this resto on our way to our hotel, and glad they were still open past 9pm. It was a cold ten-degree evening and nothing’s better than a hot bowl of ramen. We don’t have any expectations as we were here for convenience but to our surprise, the ramen was delicious and filling and so as their gyoza. If it wasn’t our last night, we would have come back. Tonkotsu or shoyu, both are great options and the serving is so big for the price point. No regrets trying a local ramen shop for our last night in Tokyo. Can say it was even better than Ichiran.

Unfortunately this is the worst restaurant we’ve tried in Japan. I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen , it smelt pretty gross and tasted a bit like dish water… plus the pork was like rubber!

I politely asked the waitress to take it away because after taking a glimpse into the cleanliness of the kitchen.. I was not about to continue eating there. There was a lot of unrefrigerated, raw pork just kind of chilling on top of some metal pot lids. Since the restaurant wasn’t busy, the staff didn’t have much to do, so they just stand and stare at you while you eat, which felt extremely uncomfortable! My family ate around half of their ramen, (they ordered a clear broth ramen) which they said were just okay, definitely not good! They also charged us full price for the ramen I took one bite from, no apologies or anything. Couldn’t be bothered arguing it so just paid and left. There are just so many amazing restaurants and ramen places in the area that are cheaper and so delicious with friendly service.

I’d suggest...

Very poor dining experience. We entered the restaurant and after seeing that everyone had to order a dish, I said I wanted to look at the menu for a while and order later. Then I was brushed in the face by the clerk's outstretched arm, telling me to order immediately. I ordered a random pasta when I was forced to order immediately. The taste was normal. Then my friend saw that the clerk could not understand English, so he spoke Japanese, and heard two clerks in the back kitchen, smoking and taunting us. I felt very surprised and hurt, and I was treated like this while respecting the local customs. Terrible, terrible experience with a bunch of arrogant staff. Smoking in the back kitchen is even more...
