The many signs of the restaurant appealed to me, so I went to this restaurant. I didn't see the reviews until later, although the stars in Japan are evaluated a little differently than in Europe. It was a Korean restaurant (I already knew the cuisine from Germany and since we had only eaten Japanese for two weeks, I wanted to try something different). Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I was brought the wrong dish, which annoyed me. It was also not served with egg yolk (as in the photo), but a raw egg was put in front of me (this is probably common, but it confused me at first). The waitress seemed a little overwhelmed when I wanted to return the dish, so I gave up without further ado... The taste was OK, but you couldn't feel any love (it was like fast food 🤷🏼♀️). I wouldn't go there again. Oh yeah... I also found cash only for a larger chain...
Read moreAmazing place tucked into the busy alleys near Shinjuku Station. A little cramped, but typical of the area. Don’t expect large open spaces or fine dining. It’s a fun space and staff were quite polite and easy to speak to.
Menu had English as a language option which was a bonus. They’re familiar with the clientele!
Food was hot, delicious, and ridiculously filling for the money. This is speaking as a fat American! Portions were not huge, but the meal sets had a lot of options and flavors of which all were delightful. Definitely a place to go...
Read moreThe restaurant is located below the Ramen restaurant. Lots of seating. The male and female staff are amazing. They are quick, can converse in English, and work extremely hard. The price is relatively inexpensive compared to North America. You order from the electronic menu at your table. They have 6 tables which can seat 4 people and 3 rows of individual seating. I recommend that soy-braised pork and stamina meat rice bowl. Add an extra soft-boil egg for 110 yen. The food is excellent if you are looking for some home...
