Our last dinner in Japan at Junisoh, located in the Hilton Tokyo, was nothing short of perfect. We decided on the Teppanyaki experience, where the chef's culinary performance is as much a part of the meal as the food itself. This experience went far beyond the typical Teppanyaki I've known in the USA; it was an up-close demonstration of a master chef at work, and we had the best seats in the house to witness this culinary adventure.

Every dish was a showcase of the chef's meticulous attention to detail and skill. The preparation was so precise that each morsel of food was a revelation, surpassing the previous bite in taste and quality. The selection of ingredients spoke volumes about their commitment to quality. We were treated to an array of exquisite flavors, including tender abalone, succulent shrimp, luxurious lobster, rich foie gras, and a variety of fresh, seasonal vegetables. Each ingredient was celebrated in its own right, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Adding to the culinary delight was the Sake selection. The Sake we had was premium and arguably the best I've ever tasted. Its smoothness and depth of flavor complemented the meal beautifully, elevating the entire dining experience.

This dinner at Junisoh wasn't just a meal; it was a culinary journey that encapsulated the best of Japanese cuisine. The combination of a masterful cooking display, exceptional ingredients, and outstanding Sake made our final dinner in Japan a memorable and fitting conclusion...

Staff were friendly and food was decent but I’d argue a bit overpriced. What I really didn’t enjoy was that we made an 20:30 reservation. The place closes at 22:00. I get that staff want to finish the night ASAP, but seating us in the middle of the drop tables and serve stations despite a pretty empty restaurant when we arrived, rushing us through the meal, and then proceeding to loudly and chaotically clean and breakdown the restaurant was such a vibe killer. I get that the reservation was late, but then have a last seating. Don’t take a late reservation and make the guests feel utterly unwelcome. I could have eaten literally anywhere...

It is bizarre how they have a high rating. If you are dining there and have high expectations, prepare to be dissapointed. We visited a few nights ago, (missing our chance to secure reservation for other places) and we thought we can’t go wrong considering the price point. Suffice to say, we could barely touch the food and it scarred me for life. I would warn anyone to stay away. The fish was not fresh, rice was stale, and everything smelled like a supermarket sushi. There are fantastic places for half the price. Try anything but them if you prefer to make good memories of your...

We booked a 7am seating of Japanese breakfast here during our stay at the hotel. There was a big group of adults and small kinds that showed up without a reservation and got seated because there must have been extra space. They got their meals before us 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ also our meal came without rice and we waited a while before the chef brought it out to us. We tried to flag a waitstaff to ask about the rice, she acknowledged us but never came. On top of this, the food in the bento-ish box was mediocre at best, some of the stuff were from the breakfast buffet 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
