Just ok. The menu is mostly duel language of English and Japanese, but there are some key bits that are Japanese only. Guy who greeted me was friendly and welcoming.
I had the cheese pakora which didn't taste anything like cheese... Probably should rename them to egg pakora... Tasted good, but not what I expected and not worth the price tag. I also had a keema curry with garlic nan. They do have set options, but I wanted a garlic nan and the set didn't have that option - there seemed to be an option to change it to a cheese nan... Couldn't see one for garlic. My Japanese is quite basic so I couldn't really ask. The curry and nan were good. Definitely would have those again. Curries don't come with anything, so you have to order that separately making the price sky rocket (order in a set and you only pay about ¥1000 inc nan, but you have to order specific curries). I also got some aloo ki achar (spicy potato salad) and it was horrible. I only ate as much as I did because I'd ordered it and will end up having to pay for it. It just tasted of nothing but curry powder. Very strong, not pleasant taste. All in all not the worst, but I won't be in a...
Read moreAbout 30 seats in a kind of crowded, cozy downstairs place with Indian and Nepali decorations. Bollywood TV, too. Obviously Nepali staff. The sign was a bit hard to spot from the street. Google Maps it didn't help with that confusing notation about the first floor, even though the address makes it clear it's in the basement. Have their own Wi-Fi. Fast service, and the Covid-19 precautions seems slightly above-average.
The pumpkin and chicken curry of the day was quite good, with a thin base and excellent seasoning. International spiciness. Tandoori chicken may have been the best I can recall. The naan had kind of a yeasty flavor and was thick, almost heavy. Maybe two shakes of a lamb's tail beyond perfect cooking, but some people like it that way. Salad maybe slightly above-average, so overall I can call it a...
Read moreI was exploring the streets of Uneno and was very tired and bothered as there was no food that was appetising. I came across a small ally with an Indian restaurant in it, my family and I were immediately greeted at the door by a very kind man and were sat down. We all got a lunch time special each and absolutely loved it. the plain naan was amazing. I got the butter chicken meal that was absolutely delicious. My mum got the chicken curry meal which was also very nice and my dad got a vegetable curry that was amazing. They were very accommodating with our dietary requirements and the mango lassi was also a very nice touch. By far the best meal we have had in Jopan so far. Not only was it delicious but also very cheap compared to an Indian restaurant in Australia....
