KICHIRI Relax&dine Ikebukuro — Restaurant in Tokyo

Conveniently located close to Tobu Ikebukuro station. Due to the rave reviews as a good place to visit with kids I was expecting more. I was taken aback by how unsuited the layout is for families. You have to leave your buggy at the door, folded up. You take your shoes off and climb steep stairs with open steps and only a two bar guard rail and very dimly lit. Lethal when baby carrying or with an unsturdy toddler. The tables are close together. My meal was really delicious but the kids not so much. Kids meal is expensive for what you get. The fried corn, ume cucumber, steak and house wines were amazing. The truffle risotto and grab miso was very good!

We shared these dishes and it was perfect, I’d say the portions are a little smaller but that’s perfect so you can try more delicious things 😉 the servers were also considerate and not stuff. They apologized for our small table.

Ps: be careful when you take off your shoes because the floors are bit slippery

Nice calm atmosphere but...

食事が出来るような衛生的な環境ではありません。座席は座るのも歩くのも憚られるレベル。小さなお子さんの食べ残したもの、お菓子のゴミなどが、座席に大量に落ちていても清掃も無し。座布団はボロボロ、壁も汚れている、ドリンクバーで置かれているグラスも汚れが残っている。ここでご飯を食べろというの…？同行者が居たので断る事ができず。出てきた料理についていたご飯は黄色味を帯びていて、一体いつから保温されていたご飯なの…？と手もつけられず。席がこんな感じだから厨房の清掃も手が行き届いていないんだろうなと想像つきます。バーニャカウダについていたソースは温まると言っていたのに冷たいまま。ロウが垂れてこびりついているウォーマー、いつから手入れしてないの…？下げてもいいですか？おかわりいいですか？って…ごめんなさい本当に食べる気起きません。そのくらい酷い。気持ち悪い。 そもそも入口受付も会計で手間取っていて入店を待っているこちらが居ても声もかけず。痺れを切らして声をかけました。受付に2人も居たのにそんなことありますか？入らなければよかった。 暗くなったら足元のゴミが目立たないからいいやと思って清掃していないのでしょうかね？もうとにかく酷くて後でこの店に行こうって言ってごめんねと同行者に謝られました。私は二度と行きません。 メニューの改善はさておきとにかく衛生状態改善と子連れのお客様の個別会計が多かったようなので、それなら入口で個別会計じゃなく、団体の方はテーブル会計にするとか、何が対策した方がいいのではないかと。あのままだと掘りこたつ席その他ダニとか衛生害虫湧きますよ。仕事柄元々飲食店の衛生環境が気になるタイプですが、その中で...
