Kimuraya Parlour — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is as authentic a kissaten as you can find in Tokyo. It's been around for over thirty years, but it honestly feels more like sixty. The two-tone naugahyde definitely looked mid-century as did the barely populated aquarium and the plastic replicas of their dishes in the display case.

The seasoned couple running this place fit in perfectly here as they almost look like they were hired to match the retro vibe. It was a bit of a chore finding this spot as it's somewhat hidden in the basement of the Shinbashi Ekimae Building where we kept getting lost in blind hallways. We were seated in a booth basking in the vintage decor.

We were told they only serve the Morning Set between 8 and 11AM. Fine by us because we weren't looking to overeat before our flight to Okinawa. For ¥530, the set consisted of an iced coffee, a thick slice of buttered toast, and a hard-boiled egg. That honestly worked for us, and it was hard to beat a deal like that for less than $4.

FOOD - 4 stars...simple, straightforward...and the bread was so soft AMBIANCE - 5 stars...retro vintage vibe felt genuine SERVICE - 4 stars...quiet couple, little interaction TOTAL - 4 stars...worthwhile for a true...

【不思議な逆転現象】

今日はそこまで暑くない日で助かった。ミーティングをここレトロな「パーラー キムラヤ」でする事になり、久しぶりに「プリンアラモード（税込1200円）」と「コーヒー（税込460円）」でも頼もうと思って入店。

ん？…先述したように外もさほど暑くなかったし、もちろん館内は廊下、オープンスペースはクーラーが効いて涼しかったのに…店に入った途端に、逆にやや暑い…。ヤバいな打合せが長引くとツラいかも。とまで思ってしまった。

で、暑いので思わず注文したのは「イチゴミルク フラッペ（税込820円）」と「コーヒー（税込460円）」となってしまった。

雰囲気が好きな感じで、長い事営業されているからこそ醸し出されるレトロな喫茶店。 色々食べてみたいなと思っていたのですが ランチに寄れなかったので カフェ利用で訪問しました。

やはり理想的なプリンアラモードを注文。 それと温かい紅茶を。

お客さんは其々この雰囲気を楽しむというか 過ごしている様な。

閉店時間にも近づいたタイミングで入店してしまったので、しっかり味わいながらも急足で完食。

レモンの紅茶でほっこり。 プリンアラモードは、プリンのかためがいい感じ。 バニラアイスはバニラビーンズがたっぷりめ。 缶詰フルーツと生フルーツと豪華です。 ホイップクリームも、この感じ好きなやつです。

丁寧なマスターさんと、サービスの方と ほっこりです。

ナポリタンやオムライスとか食べてみたいなぁ。 わくわくします。

このビルで、立ち飲みや賑わう居酒屋さんも 新橋の古めかしい佇まいのビルに よく合うなぁ。
