kitade tacos 代々木店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

We were tired after a long train ride from Hiroshima and didn’t want to figure out a place so we figured we’d try tacos. After spending a week in rural Jalisco earlier this month visiting my partners family we weren’t sure what to expect but the images of tacos looked legit (not that Texmex stuff).

This place is a miracle. We are not sure how it exists and not quite sure it is real. The staff is Japanese not a bunch of expats. But they cook legit Mexican street food. They also play legit Mexican classics and some pretty hip stuff.

5/5. You must visit because everywhere needs more tacos and we must do our part to reward good...

Nice spot for lunch! Delicious tacos full of flavor. I got the ¥1,200 plate with 3 tacos (chicken, beef and pork), a little rice and salad. Corn tortilla were tasty and the fillings were also very good. They have 2 house sauces - a hot tomato based sauce and a zesty green sauce, both were fantastic! The plate doesn't come with a drink but that was fine I was happy with water! Definitely want to come back for dinner sometime and try the larger range of foods on offer. Staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was bright, clean and full of Mexican...

Best tacos in Tokyo. I got the taco plate and it comes with a good serving size of delicious tacos, especially for Japan. There is some regular salsa and some yuzu salsa included. I am a big fan of yuzu so this was amazing 😍 there is also a avocado jalapeño sauce and a tomato based mild hot sauce that you can top things off then that are both 🤌

Usually in Japan there is something about the tacos that is not quite right but these where amazing and I feel like I finally found my main taco...
