My husband and I were really looking forward to trying this taco place, so we made a special effort to go there today. Unfortunately, we never actually got to try the food because we were treated so rudely by the employee inside the restaurant that we walked out. We entered this restaurant a few minutes after they opened and were the first customers in the building. I saw two menus on the counter, took one, and moved to the side so that the party of four people behind us in line could see the other menu. Apparently, this was a mistake because we were supposed to order at the counter, though the employee did not bother to communicate that. The menu I took was actually meant to go outside and hang in the patio area, so the employee took the menu from my hands without even saying "sorry." He spoke to me casually in Japanese without any polite terms or phrases appropriate for a customer (something confirmed by my Japanese husband). The employee whisked the menu away to the patio, leaving one menu taped to the counter for six people to look at. I'm still confused why I couldn't have used the "outdoor" menu for a few minutes. There were six people in the restaurant trying to order and zero people on the patio. Why did the menu need to be on the empty patio immediately rather than in the hands of a paying customer? Better question, why was there only one menu? We couldn't see the remaining menu due to other customers crowded around, so we asked if there was another menu we could use. The employee gave us the run-around, suggesting that we should go outside to look at the menu I just had in my hands 30 seconds prior. His accusing tone, casual Japanese, and unhelpful attitude were not an acceptable way to behave toward customers, so my husband and I walked out and went to restaurant that actually knows how to treat customers correctly. I hope that having the menu on the empty patio for those extra three minutes was worth permanently losing two customers. We will never consider visiting this...
Read moreI came here a few days ago to get the tacos. The woman in the taco truck was very polite, nice, wearing gloves and the food was great. However, the young man behind the counter inside didn't acknowlege me and prefered to text in front of me! After a few minutes when he was done with his phone I could finally order. Never saw that in Japan.
Came back again this week. This time, a young woman was hiding (!!!) behind the counter, too busy with her phone. After a few minutes, I made her notice I was there, she stood up and finally took my order. Not sure why, but she had to explain the order in details for a good 5 mn to the guy in the truck. Speaking of him, the "chef" in the truck was different this time. He had his phone in his hands at all time even during preparing the food. Touching meat, his phone, WITHOUT ANY GLOVES, and I didn't see him wash his hands once !! ( Food was really "meh" also this time )
Ignoring your customers is one thing, but contaminating your whole kitchen with bacterias from your phone and on your bare hands is another.
Long story short, I couldn't believe all the reviews and comments about the staff. Is this place really in Japan? Now I witnessed it first hand. Nothing has changed, even if Haim the owner mentioned he will talk with the staff, that was months ago.
Most of the people there are too busy with their phones, ignoring the customers. So if you see the nice woman in the truck wearing gloves, get the tacos, and if she is not there, run away. Your stomach will be thankful.
To the owner : And no, I am not the individual you mentioned, looks like you have many fans. Thanks for taking 10 seconds to reply. But this your...
Read moreSo I went with my Japanese husband because I wanted him to try real Mexican experience but I was going to ask the guy in the trailer some Questions about the food and he didn't even let me finish my sentence. He cut me in the middle of the sentence and told me in not the best way that I had to order inside the restaurant and not in the trailer with him. I can understand that you have a system but literally you had 2 customers in the tables,it was not full at all. I was not going to order yet, I wanted to ask about the food. When he told Me that, the only customer eating near me started lo laugh and my husband thought it was really rude service. Of course we didn't order, we left the place... So, yeah,...
