From April, 2018 -

Any fan of Dragon Quest will love this pub-sized restaurant, regardless of the food quality. Luckily for anyone visiting, the food aims to please just as much as the atmosphere (a restaurant adorned in swords, pieces of armor, pictures of friends and foes alike - spanning multiple Dragon Quest titles - and of course, food, drinks [yes, there is booze and beer] and desserts - all which, you guessed it, focus on DQ themes).

My wife ordered a cocktail, myself a beer - both very good. We shared the steamed buns (superb), the sushi (better at the fish market, but still tasty), and topped it off with dessert - a cream based sweet in the shape of a Teeny Sanguini (if you don't know what this is, so help me, Numen!) and a cake with a map of the DQ1 overworld - delicious. The presentation of all of these items are what really sealed the deal for us, as well as the enthusiasm of all of the staff members. Bonus points for moderate prices and the musical themes playing in the background.

We plan to return to Japan in 2020 and will...

I have been a fan of Dragon Quest for about 15 years. In my country, until recently, there has never been much for a DQ lover like myself. When I went to Japan last November I had to take the opportunity to immerse myself in everything DQ I could. Luida's Bar made me feel so warm and at home and happy, I truly enjoyed just being in an atmosphere based on a world I have grown up with and loved. The cocktails my partner and I had were delicious, and came with a souvenir coaster based on the Games (managed to collect 6 all up!). The staff were fantastic and did a great job talking in English and understanding my very basic and broken Japanese. Thank...

It's a great place if you're a fan of the Dragon Quest series. The staff is very kind and the atmosphere of the place is very pleasant. I didn't order much, just the two sweets (both are limited items). The kakigoori tastes super good, it's a combination of frozen strawberries (sour sweet), azuki and the slime ice cream. The slime cookie with ice cream is very simple, but the cookie itself tasted like a high quality one. All the items are really pretty to look at. Even if I didn't order much, seeing the other menu items on the tables next to me was magical. There are English menus and instructions, so people around the world can...

As a dragon quest fan, you would be greeted with all the familiar monsters and items which is quite a nice thing. However, I do think they have plenty of room to include more iconic things that you see in the game. It is a all standing bar/cafe and reservation is recommended. Food/drinks are within the expectation of what you can find in this kind of themed cafe - Expensive, small portion but colorful. Do note that this is a cash only place. No credit cards were accepted. Would I come back again? Probably not unless they have some nice new addition. But for the first timer and a dragon quest fan, a place you should at least pay a visit
