Buffet options are pretty good but two of the things I was interested in weren't available during my visit (soup dumplings and tempura). I don't like fish so, besides the 2 options not available that day, I didn't bother with the "Japanese" section of the buffet - it was basically all fish based dished. Some may not be surprized, but I live in Japan and there are non-fish choices! This buffet just didn't have any. Made my choices a bit more limited, but there was still enough to keep me satisfied.
Overall, the selection was good, but when you REALLY look at the options you realise there isn't THAT much variety... the beef options were both a type of roast, the chicken options were fried, only 1 type of potato [fries - and they were quite cold and looked like they'd been sitting there a while], didn't see any pork, loads of seafood on the Japanese section but that seemed quite samey from item to item too... most meat was fried or roasted and there only seemed to be beef and chicken. Drink bar was standard options. Dessert bar had some extra cold teas that were interesting so don't forget to check those out for drinks. The roast beef was amazing and soooo tender. Desserts were good, but nothing really special - quite samey.
Staff were great - constantly checking and clearing plates. Happy to help and answer questions etc.
If you look for a coupon you can get the dinner option for 5000 yen [+service charge] rather than the usual 7000. 5000 is worth it, but 7000... nope. I would go back for 5000. Not in a hurry to return and try...
Read moreBuffet style restaurant with self-service of Western, Chinese, and Japanese Cuisine. Very nice modern decor with darker wood trim design. Alcohol costs while water, soft drinks, and juices are included free but with a limited selection of items. Staff was very friendly and they had some folks who knew English, which was very helpful. Overall, the food was good but didn't justify the price for my modest family needs. I had expected more quality based on buffets in Honolulu, Las Vegas, and other resorts. Perhaps the Italian celebration going on this month impacted the menu of items available for the three standard cuisines. I appreciated the modest serving size that allowed me to try so many different items. The desserts were not very sweet, which was great for the Asian pallet. The dishes were all very aesthetically pleasing as you would expect with Japanese dining. We won't be back just because of the cost and value for my family. It was still very busy because it was open past 7 pm and most places in the hotel...
Read moreI went for the Christmas dinner service. It was very crowded with long lines even to get your own water at a fountain dispenser. A lot of items I saw listed on their site weren’t available and the sliced beef and chicken service was a small single slice which made it a hassle to to have to wait in a line again just to get a normal serving. Only one napkin was provided with none anywhere to be found. Everyone here seems to be there for the crab legs which they did have a lot of. This reminded me of a Las Vegas casino buffet where all the people just hogged all the crab to get their moneys worth. Salad was very simple should have had more options. I thought there might be some other options like pasta or pizza but didn’t see it. There was a small bowl of poke that didn’t look like poke but sort of strange looking didn’t try. For $15,000 per person with tax this didn’t seem like a great experience or deal. I didn’t make this reservation but will avoid future hotel special occasion buffets...
