The staff’s attitude was very poor.
Last Sunday, I visited your restaurant for a late lunch together with my friend’s family. Our group consisted of three adults and two small children, but since one of the children had already eaten beforehand, we only ordered three adult meals and one children’s meal. When the staff set the table, they only placed three forks.
At first, this wasn’t a big issue. However, I found a small worm (green caterpillar) in my salad. My fork had already touched the worm, so when the staff took the salad away, they also took the fork, and I didn’t stop them. When a replacement salad was brought out, there was no new fork, so I asked, “Could I please have a fork? I can’t eat with my hands.”
Later, the children’s meal (pasta) was served, but no fork was provided, so I again asked for one for the child. However, the female staff member with short hair did not hand it to us politely—instead, she tossed the fork onto the table. Moreover, even though there were two children, she only brought one fork. We asked for another, and when she brought it, she appeared visibly irritated. I also overheard her speaking in a rude tone at that moment.
Because there were small children with us, I did not address the matter on the spot, but after going home, I kept thinking about it and wondered: What exactly did we do wrong? The worm in the salad was certainly not my fault, and asking for a new fork after mine had touched the worm is completely reasonable. Likewise, when a child’s meal is served without a fork, it is only natural to request one.
Does this restaurant not want to provide forks to customers, despite being an Italian restaurant? If so, are we expected to bring our own forks every time we dine there—or should we eat with our hands?
I live in Japan, and this restaurant is also located in Japan. If the restaurant wishes to follow Japanese customs, then it should provide chopsticks. If it wishes to maintain an Italian dining style, then it should provide forks properly...
Read moreStaff here was incapable of proper communication and rude. I ordered a plate of samplings of salami, and a burrata dish. They gave me ONE piece of bread roll to eat with it. Then I was urged to pay and leave the premises not even an hour after I had my food here. She said it was last order while other new groups of customers keep on coming in.
She got me the bill and told me I have to leave before 6:30 when there are other table of clients coming in right after me and they were not notified of anything. I asked her why, she couldn’t come up with even an excuse.
Finally after a while there was a lady who I guess is the supervisor came in to explain. She was nice enough, but that didn’t help much after the incident. It turned out I was charged 500 yen for cover charge, too.
Beware if you don’t look westerner. You possibly would be treated badly. Paying almost 6000 yen, it’s a ripped off with...
Read moreMy friend and I waited 45 minutes before requesting the check and eating at Mc Donald's instead. We ordered a bottle of wine and a pizza to share along with a soup and starter. We were served our wine and watched as the table of 5 next to us ordered and received their food as we were still waiting for our appetizers. They were nearly finished with their meal before I finally called the waiter over and asked where our food was. He proceeded to grab a menu and ask what we had ordered again and put it into the computer without an apology. When I told him that we no longer wanted to wait and would just pay for the wine and leave he shook his head and said no. I insisted that it was very rude how we were forgotten and I would rather eat somewhere else. He reluctantly brought us the check for the wine which we finished on empty stomachs. Again no apology or compensation for being forgotten for...
