A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering
This store has an amazing aesthetic—elegant, calming, and clearly curated with care. Truly a hidden gem.
But most importantly, the coffee and dessert are the real highlights. I ordered the café lapis, which was strong yet incredibly smooth—no bitterness or overwhelming flavors. It had that classic, clean Japanese iced coffee style, served over large cocktail-style ice cubes that melt slowly, inviting you to sip slowly and enjoy each moment. A perfect way to escape the summer heat.
The cheesecake with peach was also a delightful surprise. The flavors were beautifully balanced—the richness of the cheese and the sweetness of the peach complemented each other perfectly. Nothing overpowered; instead, it was a refreshingly light and elegant dessert that paired wonderfully with my coffee.
One special detail that really stood out to me was the handwritten bill—such a thoughtful touch that shows their dedication to hospitality and aesthetics.
Thank you as well to the staff for their professionalism and kindness. Even though I spoke with a mix of broken Japanese and English, they were welcoming and respectful throughout.
Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be returning!
For now I will bring back your guys in house roasted coffee back home to Taiwan! See you...
Read moreThey offered a unique experience with its meticulously crafted dark roasted black coffee, which was prepared using a drip-by-drip method in front of me. This technique added a layer of precision and care, allowing each drop to capture the rich, robust flavors of the dark roast. The coffee delivered a deep and bold taste. For desserts, I got 2 desserts. Their pudding was silky and smooth yet a bit firm texture on the surface of the pudding, with just the right balance of sweetness. Its creamy aftertaste complemented the richness of the coffee. Their muscat rare cheesecake offered a refreshing twist. The delicate muscat flavor added a fruity note to the creamy cheesecake, making it an excellent pairing with the...
Read moreThe environment is amazing and it's kind of a perfect fit conceptually for the Jimbocho area. So if you're a tourist and want a few photos, it's recommended to check out.
However, for others, the desserts and coffee on offer were very standard. Everything was just "ok" but service was unreasonably slow for a shop that didn't seem too busy at the time l, waiting almost 30 minutes for standard coffee. The staff even told me to switch to regular coffee from my initial desired drink because they acknowledged it may take even more time. Why even offer something on the...
