Ordered the 8600 yen omakase set - Rin.

I made the mistake of going in without knowing this is a restaurant inside a mall, therefore is not an exclusive omakase restaurant (where they have set starting times, and certain serving standards), so the sushi chefs were busy pumping out everyone's lunch meals as well. For the price, I would recommend going to a legit omakase sushi restaurant for a little more but with a more all rounded, authentic omakase experience.

All in all, the fish was fresh, but you can tell that dishes are prepped with speed and efficiency as intent, not attention to detail. Dishes were on the heavy side with savory sauces.

The main reason for the rating, though, is that the sushi chef "forgot" the uni sushi of our omakase set, which was supposed to be one of the highlights. The last piece he gave us was an ebi sushi, and told us "this is the last piece." We were confused since he showed us the ingredients beforehand to make sure we weren't allergic to anything. After some contemplation, (believe me we didn't want to make it awkward) we decided to ask whether or not there was uni in our 8600 set. The sushi chef then responded with a "oh you didn't get it? Sorry" very casually , and only then did we get the uni sushi.

I've never been to an omakase restaurant where the chef forgets the sushi.. and the nonchalant apology left me wondering if he really "forgot" it at all. Perhaps I expected too much from a Japanese sushi restaurant, perhaps they have too many tourists coming around, but this experience will remind me to be on my toes a little more for the rest of the...

This is an incredible sushi restaurant, where we enjoyed a set tasting menu on Christmas Eve. It was hands down the best sushi we've ever had. Situated on the 13th floor of the Shibuya Scramble, just below the Shibuya Sky, the views were stunning, and we could even see the famous Shibuya Crossing from our table.

We chose the Kagayaki course, which offered a variety of Omakase-style appetizers and dishes. The sushi was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection. My personal favorites were the abalone and the miso fish—both were outstanding and I’ll dream about these tastes.

The service was top-notch, English is spoken, making this dining experience even more memorable. It was truly the highlight of our Japan trip so far.

Although Japan has a no-tipping culture, this is one place where you’ll definitely want to make an exception. Reservations are highly...

I expected higher quality for this price. I suspect the sushi we received may have been prepared earlier and left sitting for some time for the following reasons:

  1. The tops of most pieces appeared dry, not glistening, as it should if just prepared. Look closely at my the photos.
  2. They only offer 2 course menus, so they know exactly what to make ahead of time.
  3. The food for my party of 5 arrived far faster than possible if they were all just made.
  4. We were seated at a table where we could not see our sushi being prepared.

They only offer 2 pre-set course menus, a 5400y and 11000y (drinks excluded). They do not offer a la carte items, though you can ask which types will be served and choose to change any you dislike.

The only thing I found satisfactory for this price was...

Love this place. It’s the best sushi I e had in my life. Even the ginger was on another level. I made a 11am reservation for a solo counter sitting. Ordered the omakase. Walked into an empty restaurant and I was seated in the corner. I asked to sit facing the chefs but both the manager and waitress said no. I get this a lot when I dine solo. The head chef spoke very little English but he was so kind talking to me about the dodgers because I’m from Los Angeles. After two appetizers, the chef asked the manager to move me to the front of the counter. So grateful he spoke up for me. The food: the best I’ve had in Japan. The service: great aside from being seated in the corner of an empty counter, Highly recommend.
