I stopped by for a quick lunch bites, missing my home country's food and since I see lots of reviews stating how delicious the food was... ..and while it may be to the taste of some, sadly it's far from authentic..
Tortilla de patata was very thin and dry, tortillas are meant to be cooked on the outside and outer layers but a bit moist in the middle.. it seems simple but it's am art in its own right, mine was fully cooked and dry..slightly sweet because of the onion, so it could have done with a pinch of salt.
Almejas al vapor was a mix of navajas, almejas and mejillones with a so-so tomato sauce. Almejas only go with lemony flavours, whilst mejillones can be cooked with both. The fact that all three seafood were mixed in the same bucket shows the chef doesn't really get it...
The galician octopus should be octopus, olive oil, salt and red paprika, and a couple of potatoes though mostly as an ornamental element, here not only there was 50/50 potato and octopus, but the dish also had ali-oli (mayonese garlic), it is like a hybrid of "pulpo a la gallega" with "patatas bravas"
So all in all, an ok Restaurant for a few bites, but far from the authentic flavor of Spain.
Service was the best of the experience and the atmosphere though a bit loud, it was reasonable for that spot.
If you are willing to spend more money, the nearby Spanish restaurant Jose Luis may be a better bet, given it carries the chef name the outlook seems good. (Will post...
Read moreLooked up Spanish restaurants near Shibuya Station and decided to give this place a go.
The restaurant seems small from the front, but it opens up into a much larger area behind the bar and kitchen, complete with a great view of Shibuya from up above.
Unfortunately, the food and service were not up to the same level as the ambiance.
The food was quite expensive and the portions on the smaller side. Some dishes were a hit (like the tapas or paella), but others were quite disappointing to say the least. In particular, the steak main dish had meat that was spectacularly bland and dry.
Service was somewhat slow since it was peak dinner time. But it was difficult to call over a staff member for refills or to order more food, which hurts its overall rating more.
Convenent location with a nice view, yes. But you're better off looking for another Spanish restaurant if you better (and more...
Read moreVery nice Spanish restaurant
The food was delicious. Very authentic tastes; I loved the appetizers, sangria, wines, mains, dessert.. everything, really
Service was excellent. They have actual Spanish servers, so it was nice to be served in semi Spanish/Japanese/English. It adds to the experience
Atmosphere was also great; it's on the 13th floor, so you get quite the view of the surrounding Shibuya area.
The value/cost in 202309 was very good. Appetizers average around ¥1000-¥1500, mains are around ¥1500-¥2000, all a good size. There's a table charge of ¥350.
Our total was ¥12,700 including 2 appetizers (with added bread), 2 mains, 2 dessert, 5 drinks. For the quality of the food, it was very good value.
Overall, it's an easy recommendation for delicious Spanish food in the...
