If your world runs at 5G speed, then this place might not be for you. But if you’re someone who wants to savor the taste of well-toasted French toast, enjoy decent coffee, and try out a simple, slow, easy-going morning lifestyle in Tokyo — this place is worth a visit.

Read moreUsually I don’t like queuing for famous restaurants or insisting to go to certain coffee shops when travelling. However, Nagi Ueno is one of the very few that I just wanted to come here no matter how the location and opening hours are inconvenient to me. It’s really worth all the efforts.
Their French toast is heavenly yummy. The thick cut toast slides soak up milk thoroughly and pan-fried until slightly crispy outside. The lightly drizzled syrup adds a bit of sweetness as the whipped cream also does, but not overpowering. All tastes balanced elegantly, great to pair with some coffee.
