Napoli's PIZZA & CAFE Akasaka Hitotsugi Dori — Restaurant in Tokyo

Loved this place, as a smoker and a New Yorker, this became my daily hang out during my 2 week stay! The staff was so kind and considerate ( thank you very much to Neko, you made my stay so welcoming and thanks for all the helpful information about metro and places to go, I appreciate all your kindness). Thank you to the entire staff as well! The pizza was super great, the small portions for appetizers were great with the pasta that tasted just like my home made dishes! I loved the salads when I wanted something light. Over all, I was happy to find a place that allowed me to smoke and have a delicious beer when the afternoon was so hot! After a month on the road, I finally caved and indulged in something I’d been craving: pizza.

Service: Excellent—nothing to fault there.

Pizza: Just okay. Maybe I’m overly picky because I’m used to authentic Italian standards. The size felt small (I’d say around 28 cm?). The biggest issues were the sparse toppings (this was the Diavola pictured—and trust me, I’ve had Diavola everywhere) and the crust was too thick for my taste. For a place called “Pizza Napoli,” a thinner, Neapolitan–style crust—enjoyed with fork and knife—would have been more appropriate.

Extras: No napkins on the table, which isn’t very convenient or hygienic.

Nice small place in Akasaka. I was looking for an Italian restaurant that wasn't full and ended up in here. It is kind of restaurant/bar at night so sometimes it gets reserved. The pizza is kind of small but can be enough for 1 person. They also have pasta and salad. Sometimes they run out of some varieties. Because of the decoration (I guess), the oven and the size of the place is kind of hot. Nice in winter but idk in summer.
