This is a famous riceroll (onigiri) stall. But the service was terrible and especially not friendly to tourists.

When the first time we came to this stall on a weekend, 12 pm, it was sold out.

The second time when we visit again, we were asked to queue up. After queue up for 45 minutes thrn it was our turn to take the onigirin. When we want to make payment, the owner asked for our queue number. When we asked him where is the notice and writing in his stall indicating we needed to take queue number first before come to order, he yield at us and asked us to leave immediately.

Being a foodie, we needed to separate emotion from food, and that's why we come for the third time. The third time, we took a queue number at 8am and then order at 11am. We found out that taste wise, it was mediocre. There were many nice onigirin that better than here that we tried and put in our posts. It was ridiculous for a touristbto cone here 8am to take queue number than collecting at 11am. What a waste of time for tourists. The food was not worth the...

One of the BEST onigiri around!!

We came to Tsukiji two days in a row and went here both days! Service from the older gentleman serving and selling the onigiri was super kind each day and friendly to both locals and tourists.

We tried a few different items each day, in all.

Salmon cut roll - SO GOOD. So fresh, light, tasty, and outstanding!!

Pork onigiri - this even impressed my mom who rarely eats pork. It was so juicy, the meat was soft, it was slightly sweet, and plenty of filling.

Egg - I’m not sure the exact name but there is an onigiri with a soft boiled egg in the middle. WOW. The egg yolk was so bright orange and so jammy. It tasted amazing.

Shrimp tempura - I love the way they shape this, the tempura is still crunchy and delicious.

Salmon - moist, tasty, plenty of salmon, this is a...

Onigiri Marutoyo is a delightful eatery in Tokyo specializing in authentic Japanese rice balls. The restaurant offers a wide variety of fillings, from traditional umeboshi and salmon to unique options like spicy cod roe. Each onigiri is made with high-quality, sticky rice and beautifully presented, often wrapped in crisp nori.

The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff enhance the dining experience, providing prompt service and helpful recommendations. Prices are reasonable, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal without overspending.

In short, Onigiri Marutoyo is a must-visit for rice ball enthusiasts, offering delicious flavors and a welcoming vibe. Don't miss the chance to indulge in their...
