AVOID THAT PLACE! The worst dinner experience ever! Horrible, microwaved Pizza: I ordered a pizza expensive enough, with smoked mozzarela and smoked pork. It came in 5 minutes!! Anyone who knows pizza, knows a pizza you make fresh can't come in 5 minutes! It was luke- warm, not hot. Basically, it was some old pizza they just warmed up in the microwave. There was hardly anything smoked on it. Certainly not mozarella. It was a piece of plastic,, tasting worse than convenience store pizza. A FAKE pizza, warmed up in microwave. No Olive oil in an Italian restaurant! They brought the italian"bread-and-olive oil" traditional, except they did not bring any oil! None!!! They brought two pieces of bread and two small salty snacks (industrially made). Bread was dry, tasting more like chicken-feed. I never had worse.Did I mention they failed to bring the olive oil?? I had to ask for it. I got it at the end of the meal, when I didn't need it anymore. They never brought me any water. Unheard of, in Japan! Basically, they force you to buy their mineral water, for 800 yen. Because I was alone, they gave me the worst seat possible: by the door to the terrace. Cold rainy windy night, the door left open by every waiter and every customer going on the terrace. I closed it myself several times. After being fed microwave pizza, bread and no oil, no water, in wind and cold coming from outside, how much do you think this experience costs? almost 5000 yen! A pizza and a glass of sparkling wine! Nothing else. You pay TABLE COVER! A cover that forgot my olive oil, my water, brought me microwavd pizza and kept me in wind and cold. This is not a legitimate pizzeria. This is a cheat. Avoid it by all means, unless you really intend to spoil the evening for someone you dislike! Then,...
Read moreWe visited Napule after a delightful tour of the lively Tokyo Midtown area. The complex features a massive multi-floor mall, a separate shopping plaza, and a basement level that connects them, filled with charming cafes, small restaurants, kiosks, and wonderful bakeries.
Napule is located on the first floor, offering a picturesque winter view of the garden illuminated with seasonal lights. The outdoor seating area is a highlight, especially if you’re lucky enough to catch suitable weather. The restaurant provides heaters for outdoor dining, but the breeze can be a bit bothersome at times.
Reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant is usually busy. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, with exceptionally fast service. The staff were cheerful and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable.
The menu is authentically Italian, featuring a variety of vegetarian dishes that are also suitable for Muslims (halal options).
We ordered the Burrata Salad, which was served with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, and a unique addition of lemon paste. This twist was something I hadn’t encountered in other Italian restaurants before—unusual but delightful.
We also tried the Mozzarella Pizza with Provolone Cheese. The crust was perfectly crispy, with the rich flavor of the wood-fired oven coming through beautifully—absolutely delicious.
Additionally, we ordered the Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce, which I didn’t personally taste, but the others in my group loved it and praised its balance and flavorful taste.
Overall, Napule is an excellent choice for a family meal, with a great location, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I’d highly recommend it for anyone visiting...
Read moreWent here for the ball and chains birthday. I'm going to echo the sentiments of others but it will serve no justice. No free water (stupidly expensive bottled stuff instead), 500 cover charge (one of the worst parts of Japanese cuisine customs) for a piece of awful bread. These complains are a common theme in the reviews listed here, and one would hope that would serve some purpose as feedback for the establishment, but with this being Japan, change does not happen and they will continue with their delusional ways thinking they know best. Such a shame and they will not improve to adjust to the demands of the customers, those who keep them in business. Pizza, good, way too over priced. Pasta, decent, but I have a feeling it had been 'kept warm' and wasn't served from the pan to plate to table. The lemon cream sauce had a bit of a dried up coating on it. I kept quiet. Wine, expensive. I liked the interior, the non Japanese staff were great, theres a Spanish waitress there who was very friendly and wonderful. For some reason Gypsy Kings were playing in the background, at least play some Italian music. This isn't the most authentic Italian experience, its quite generic, but it was alright. Would I go back? No. Not unless there was some lunch special. At dinner after seeing the...
