Maybe it was me, but I don't think this duck ramen is that special. Don't get me wrong, the taste was fine. But, it's not worth your time waiting in line, at least for me. Eithet at 2 pm or 6 pm, you still wait for an hour (or more) since they only have around 11 seats inside. Go there before dinner makes you wait in line faster I guess, compared to after/before lunch. The broth is light yet tasty, but not that savoury. I don't taste the balance between the soup, mostly salty (in the right amount, not too salty). The taste not that rich-flavor. If you have so much free time, just give it a try. But if you don't, you're not missing anything I guess. Once again, it's good but nothing special. How to order: Go to the machine first. You need to make an order before lining. But make sure you see the lining across the shop since so many people didn't know that the lining in front of the store is continued to across the shop. So they bought it with the wrong estimation time and ended up dissapointed or miscalculation. Eventhough you can cancel it by talk to the staff (they offered me to cancel when I asked about the ticket I bought in the morning to used at evening, but we didn't do it) When you're closer to your turn, the staff will ask about the condiments you'll have. In my visited, they have 3 options: - grilled negi - chopped negi - onion (not sure if it was pickled, but it's not fresh red onion). You can choose 2 of 3 (might be different on your visit)

Recommended by friend saying high rating. So end up my expectations was raised and clash to bottom. So I find it’s total over rated. Self order via machine, shop bar counter type estimate at most 12-20 seats. After u order w the machine then a staff is come out to ask what type spring onions as topping on the soup. Poorly explained. When u order via the vending machine - put in cash first then select according. A little white card will indicate what u ordered then queue accordingly. Staff just said choose 2 out of 3 with a picture cards on spring onions. Kind of silly why can’t they give alittle of 3 types. I ordered 1 upgrade duck ramen, a braised egg and oolong tea. Around ¥1.5k-¥2k. Duck - thin slices - tender yes but still got the duck smell. Ramen - not very fantastic the portion is small. Soup - damn oily as half to 1cm. Egg - need to order separately from machine. Not part of the duck ramen. Oolong tea - cold type. I find it the best item beside the eg. non refillable by per cup. Free water at each barcounter seat. It’s a typical shop with barely much service. So I don’t know why so many people queue as u need to wait for earlier batch of customer eat finish before next batch of customers go in. Don’t waste time unless no queue. There are more nicer food and price range around the same or less.

An utterly stellar bowl of ramen can be found here. The specialty is a broth made with just water, duck, and negi which creates an intensely deep soup that is brimming with umami. Upon coming to the restaurant you will need to select your meal ticket from the vending machine next to the front door and the server will ask you to choose 2 of their 3 types of onions offered for the soup topping. I got the set for ¥1380 which came with the basic duck ramen and a side of a ramen egg, extra duck meat, and extra menma. I chose the scallions and charred negi for my onions. The duck meat was juicy and almost butter soft. The broth as I said before was smooth and has a slight oily feel to it that made it all the more delicious. All the toppings were solid, though I prefer my ramen egg more jammy as this one was hard boiled. But, it was still tasty. The restaurant seats what looks like a little over a dozen customers and though there was a line when I got there at 9:30, it moves pretty fast. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and comfortable. There was wonderful traditional Japanese music being played too which added to the experience. Despite the ingredients seeming so simple, this was one of the most delicious and impressive bowls of ramen I've had. This is a must for ramen lovers.
