This ramen joint! It might not catch your eye at first, with its limited menu options – it's either soup noodles or crispy noodles, and you've got a choice between vegetable noodles or the colorful veggie variety. As I was in the midst of placing my order, I found myself glancing out the window, secretly hoping to spot a better dining spot. But in the end, we decided to stick around, and boy, was that the right call!
You absolutely have to go for the crispy noodles – it's a must-try! At a glance, you might wonder where the "crispy" is hiding, but once you dig in, you'll discover they drench those crunchy noodles in a thick, savory sauce. The sauce might look gooey and soft, but the veggies nestled in there remain incredibly tender and delightfully crisp, especially those bean sprouts! Each bite feels like a flavor adventure with peaks and valleys! It's incredibly tasty! I'm practically drooling as I type this [drooling emoji].
The soup noodles are no slouch either! I went for both the crispy and soup noodles 👊, and they include shrimp 🦐 in every dish. The shrimp may be small, but they're unbelievably fresh, tender, and oh-so-delicious – and that's coming from someone who isn't usually a shrimp fan. I swear I could devour another five hundred of those! (?
Towards the end of our meal, we couldn't resist lifting our bowls to slurp up every last drop of that heavenly soup. My girlfriend and I were like two sponges, taking turns to savor every ounce of that divine broth!
At one point, as I was working up a sweat from the meal, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt and avoided making eye contact with the server who had helped us order. I'm pretty sure he must have been thinking, "This customer was so reluctant earlier, and now they're enjoying the meal so much".
The noodles come in at around 1000 Yen per bowl, and there were plenty of Japanese patrons around too. My recommendation rating is off the charts!!!! You've absolutely got to give it...
Read moreThere used to be a Ringer Hut in San Jose, CA that friends and I use go to when we have a craving for Japanese noodles. I saw that there was one Ringer Hut a couple minutes walk from my hotel. Had to try just to compare. It was around 1030AM so it was not too crowded before the lunch crowd shows up. Ordering was simple on the touch screen with English translations. Once you finish ordering, the food is served pretty quickly. Ordered the champon with gyoza. And price is very affordable. The portions is very large with plenty of vegetable and noodles and the soup is hot and savory. The gyoza was nice and crispy. It sure hits the spot and brings back memories of my visits to Ringer Hut...
