Rishiri Ramen — Restaurant in Tokyo

Great meal! Definitely recommend to any first timer in Japan. The ingredients seemed high quality and the ramen broth was smooth and tasty. English menu was straight forward and descriptive. Not a huge selection but I don’t see that as a negative for this shop. I assume they keep things simple so quality doesn’t slip. I like spicy food and level 2 was great (3 probably would’ve been fine but I wouldn’t have been able to eat as much). The atmosphere was super authentic and welcoming. Ramen for me is almost sacred. The warmth, that soothing feeling that comes out of the spice and the thick broth stays with you for long. Long after the meal is complete.

By that measure the ramen from this place is bound to stay with me forever. Aside from the excellent Ramen in itself, what makes this place special are the three old grandpas who make it right in front of you, with a reassuring smile.

Perhaps that’s why this is popular among the locals....

After spending 2 weeks in Japan this was the best ramen we came across. We got it first night we arrived and they were very nice in greeting us and had an English menu to read.
