I usually post if the food is exceptionally good or absolutely horrible. This place is the latter, the food is horrible. Ordered the double curry set, spicy chicken curry and the butter chicken curry with nun. The curry was smelly, and it has been one of the worst curry I had ever eaten in Japan in my three years. The nun is also small but that maybe ignored if the food was good. Sadly, the waiter (Indian) was quite impolite.
If you are super hungry and craving Indian food, I suggest you to go to combini and buy a sandwich, but avoid this place al all cost. It’s a shame to be called their food as Indian food at all. The tastiest item on my plate is the salad. I can’t bet they didn’t serve me the stale food. I was feeling like I’d throw up.
The only good thing about this place is that they served the food quite fast.
This is what I had experienced. My recommendation is to avoid, and look for other Indian places nearby (there is one just outside the station which is far better). It’s up to you whether you want to experience by...
Read moreI visited the other day for a brief meal as I was stuck in Shinagawa station and wanted a substantial meal.
The service staff has some pretty dishonest practices that I've unfortunately seen at other indian restaurants.
When I finished my order, the staff asked "what drink would you like?"
I thought the drink was part of the set as they are at some other indian restaurants, but instead, the service staff did not make it clear and just did so to add cost to the meal. If this was an izakaya or bar where there is one drink minimum, this would be understandable but this was not made clear.
The meal itself was average. Given there is a lot of competition for customers at any restaurant, a restaurant can set themselves apart by providing superior food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, or all the above so that customers are happy to return and more importantly, spread the good reputation of the restaurant. For the dishonest practice alone, I simply do not recommend visiting for mediocre food and...
Read moremy husband loves indian foods, we often try new spot, but we couldn't find the best yet since we were spoiled living in NYC. This place was the first try. I've seen this restaurant in Tokyo station and so on , we had a bit of high hope. I should've known better to check the Google reviews before trying. I had a dal, naan, bhai, raita, and salad. The naan was fluffy and not sweet at all, all of the places(in JP) we've been were sweet side so it was surprised, it was more of salty side. ( I didn't mind it ) The salad was usually smothered over dressing but it wasn't.( good ) The curry was watery consistency, it was almost like tadka not dal. Flavor was ok to me. bhai, raita ( I gave to my husband, and he said raita was extremely salty, and disgusting) He had two curry, and he wasn't...
