This was quite the treat after a long 7 hour flight from Bangkok, another 2 hours in customs, and then 2 hours figuring out how to get from the airport to the hotel. When you first walk in you are immediately greeted by the head chef and his staff. I sat at the counter as I wanted to watch this master of 40+ years cook. I asked for permission to take pictures of him and his artwork and he graciously accepted. I went with the 10 piece nigiri 🍣 set, omakase style, letting the chef make all the decisions on the pieces of meat he would use. He did not disappoint. From the artful sake pour in a 2 cup mechanism creating a perfect zen balance of water dripping into the cup, to the first appetizer of tiny squids in a flavor sauce, to the 10 piece nigiri set which included a slice of wagyu, uni, roe, and many of the classics, the meal narrated a beautiful story. The fish was phenomenal quality! Otoro was elite, the 15 piece nigiri set was masterful, and each cut of fish I had was immaculate. Uni was Michelin caliber. Even the soup at the end was next level.
