I had the pleasure of dining at Kidoguchi in Tokyo recently, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The elegant decor and soft lighting create a perfect backdrop for an intimate meal.
The hospitality at Kidoguchi truly stands out. The chef was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of while also making me feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about each dish and took the time to explain the ingredients and preparation methods, which added a personal touch to the dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply outstanding! Each course of the omakase was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef’s incredible skill and creativity. The selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients was impressive, and every bite was a delightful symphony of flavors. From the delicate sashimi to the perfectly cooked rice, everything was executed flawlessly.

Read moreThe eldest made a lunch reservation at Kidoguchi. Reservation is a must as this is a very popular sushi restaurant. They only served their 10 pieces sushi set lunch during lunchtime but you can add on additional pieces of your choice after the set. For dinner, it is Omakase dinner. It was a very good lunch (food quality was top notch). The lunch was even better thanks to Chef Yasaki that served us. He speaks fluent English thanks to 12 years he spent during his childhood in Edmonton, Canada. He also speaks smatterings of Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian due to many international guests that eats there.
Chef Yasaki is really attentive to his customers. When he noticed my eldest eating her first piece of sushi in halves, he subsequently served all her sushi but dividing each piece into 2 smaller half pieces. He really make a difference to the entire dining experience. Thank you Chef Yasaki. Damage is about $180 for 4 person and based on the sushi that we had (uni, bluefin tuna chutoro, ikura, anago etc), 2 serving of sake and 3 seasonal sushi for myself, it is a very good value meal.
Thank you...
