The food is generally very good and the owner is very nice as well. He even gave me an extra piece of otoro.

The only I would say is, like many who visited at night, the price is significantly higher versus lunch.

There was a menu at the entrance that says ¥12,500 for one person, which I neglected to see.

When I entered, the lady immediately spotted that I don’t speak Japanese, so she passed me this foreigner special menu for ¥9,000. Obviously I would have liked to know in advance and felt a little on the spot, but I agreed nonetheless thinking it would be a nice experience anyway.

I sat down and the food came very quickly. First came the radish, then piece by piece the sushi came. It was a matter of 20 or so minutes and all the food was served. Then the chef proceeded to show me the menu again indicating that was it. The owner, with limited English, initiated small conversations, and then brought out a piece of otoro. The chef made an additional piece of sushi for me pointing at the owner saying it’s from him. I thanked him.

I would say the food is really not bad at all. Just that I would have liked them offering me the omakaze of the night menu as well for ¥12,500 and would have happily paid.

The foreigner special is quite similar to the lunch menu but at 5 times the price.

So if you come here, ask for the regular dinner omakaze, and do not accept the...

Insulting and rude. Did not present us menus, and when we tried to order the simple omakase set in the simplest manner, they made snide remarks about us. We are foreigners who researched lots about japan before traveling here and are very respectful of the culture. Of course there is a language barrier, but we try to shop and eat local, and at fair prices. We escaped the Tsukiji market to come here, and were too insulted and felt so uncomfortable, we left before we could be served. Shame...

This was my first meal. Came here during lunch and got the 1.5 lunch set for ¥1,700. I didn’t speak Japanese so had some trouble ordering. I was the only foreigner here and was a little nervous.

However the sushi was fresh and good. Had a good variety of different sushi that was tasty. The staff was polite, even though it was crowded. Reading the other reviews this seems to be a local favourite. Will recommend for its...

I ate lunch! The sushis tastes not fresh! The fish is like overnight one! Service of the woman was so horrible, not polite at all. Waiting for over 1.5 hours for disappointment! Don’t waste your time and money if you want good sushi. Add: The owner said I don’t get the taste because I’m a foreigner. that’s not just ridiculous, it’s kinda discriminatory. The fish was just bad. Fresh fish doesn’t taste sour and soggy in any country.
