Enjoyed it here very much. Delicious meal. Great service. Very welcoming. We made a reservation for a Saturday night 8pm about 1 week in advance. We arrived on time and our table was ready for us. We were seatsd on the bar counter right in front of the chefs which added to our experience. On the table was a card with our name on it. They serve grilled blackthroat seaperch fish here which is their speciality. It's a rare Japanese fish. We wanted to order a whole Seaperch fish, but they didn't have the stock so were only selling in halves. The grilled fish was delicious. We also had sashimi for 2, their signature fish cakes, Japanese sake, steamed egg roll, squid, and to finish we had a minced bluefin tuna bowl each. They deep fried the shrimp heads for us which we had not eaten from the sashimi and we had ate those as well so didn't waste anything. The sake is very good priced compared to other restuarants....generous servings of sake. We have a great time. We left at 10pm when they closed. Staff were very helpful to us. They are very welcoming of tourists. Very good....

You need to book your table, normally three days earlier, in order to dine in this prestigious restaurant. Their signature dish is grilled nodoguro, or blackthroat seaperch, is getting rather expensive, the smallest one being nearly 10,000 yen. However, their real champion dish is uni, sea urchin roe, at the price of more than 20,000 yen per small box. It was the sweetest uni that I had ever tasted. The sophisticated diner would like to have half of the uni scorched to vary the taste...

We entered this store as walk-in customers, unsure of what to expect. The staff were very friendly and patient with us. They were also able to clarify whatever questions we had. We ordered the set meal. The Nodoguro was definitely the best fish we have ever eaten in Japan. The sashimi was also very fresh and tasty. They even served us free warabi mochi which tasted better than some dedicated mochi places we visited in Japan. Will definitely...
