So… if you are expecting a conveyor belt sushi as experienced elsewhere in the world - this place has a conveyor belt where you can get sushi delivered, AFTER you place an order. When we arrived, we had to print a number and sit on the queue (large waiting room). 20min waiting time was ok… however! The food quality! It just shot me down! This is my second visit in Japan. My first was almost 10 years ago. This time around the whole food quality has dropped drastically compared to before. Even high-end Japanese restaurants have started serving mediocre food. Back to Sushiro- the food was SO bad that I had to call staff and ask for refunding me one of the plates with fish as the fish was absolutely inedible and I was unable even to bite through it - like a dead muscle with skin on… they apologized and said they will cancel this particular plate. The beef tongue sushi was also ultra difficult to chew. I just scrolled through the menu and saw sushi with BUTTER on the top?! In which world?! And I thought the Westernized Philadelphia cheese in sushi was odd… but butter is fine :) For an adult and a child we paid ¥3000, including a crême brulée which tasted as coming fresh from the convenience store. Service was ok, I got a DEEP bow upon paying my bill by one of the sushi chefs as an apology for the bad sushi…

Sushiro is the first sushi conveyor belt we've been to in Tokyo, and as we've learned from the two other conveyor belts we went to after this one, there are some common aspects with them. There are always hot water dispensers and green tea powders, three different types of soy sauce, and wasabi packets. There is one notable thing about Sushiro that differentiates it from the rest: their sweet soy sauce is the most delicious out of all the other conveyor belt restaurants' sweet soy sauces. Paired with their tamago sushi, it was the best out of all their other sushi. We can't speak for others, but as for us, 6 plates of tuna, salmon, ebi and tamago were enough to fill us up. That only cost us ¥900, when we were actually expecting to spend at least ¥2,000. Tip: It's easy to miss where their wet wipes and cups are. They're on the top of the conveyor belt.

Sushiro is a convinient place to land if you are looking for a last minute bite, but if you have the extra time I would suggest considering other options, the food is pretty good quality as expected in most Japanese touristic area establishments, but in contrast of the cold environment, and barely human contact, it made me forget at one point I was even in Japan, even though it offers a great selection of sushi, for the price you will definitely feel in the after math that you could have gotten a better experience else where. We went for different type of selection, salmon, tuna, yellow fish, octopus, shrimp, ikura, etc. you definitely won’t be disappointed with the flavour, and overall I would say it was a pretty good experience, would come back if I lived here, but not as a tourist looking for the authentic experience.

I waited over 1 hour. They don’t even give you internet while you wait. I asked a waitress how much longer I have to wait. She said 1 hour and 10 minutes. Terrible. They don’t tell you how long you have to wait. There are over 20 people waiting as well. There are tables empty but they don’t seat us. I didn’t arrive very late but I had to wait so long. People who were in the waiting room when we came are gone. Fed up with this store. Too long of a wait and they don’t post times. People who came later than me are already seated. The service people don’t seem to mind you or apologize for your waiting. They don’t stop people from coming in. Those people don’t know they’ll have to wait over 2 hours. Deceptive store management. In my whole life there has been one restaurant that almost made me cry from anger, frustration, and hunger. This is that restaurant. I didn’t buy anything from them. They don’t deserve...

There's supposed to be a Sushiro app to let you queue in advance for a table. But I can't seem to find it for Japan. As it was, we waited 40 minutes after getting a ticket. Your number is announced in English when it's your turn, and you swipe the ticket on a scanner to get your table number. The whole thing is super efficient and fun. The belt that goes round is just for ads. The belt above that is dedicated to your table. You order via an app that's available in English. It alerts you when your order arrives. The food is very good for the price and very reasonably priced. We stuffed ourselves with 2 special orders of the 7 cuts of Tuna and loads of other dishes for just over £30 for 2. You just tot it up on the pad and scan your table ticket outside to pay. It's complete sensory overload so don't come here for a romantic dinner lol. They already have outposts in HK, Thailand and Indonesia. We need...
