Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen Bankara Ikebukuro Main Store — Restaurant in Tokyo

飲んでいた帰りにお腹が減ったので、電車の待ち時間に池袋にあるばんから本店で腹ごしらえをしました(・∀・) ばんから本店は、池袋の西部側の東口方面にあって、目白方面に歩いて少し入った所にあります(°▽°)

コロナもあったので、3年振りくらいの訪問ですね✨ 店内新しくなった感じがしたんですが、それもそのハズ‼️ リニューアルオープンとのことでしたね(o^^o)

店内入って、まずは食券を買います☆ 本日は角煮ばんからラーメンを買って、リニューアルオープンの味玉無料券を提出( ^ω^ ) 席に着いて、店員さんに食券を渡します(ﾟ∀ﾟ)

5分ちょっとくらいで、ラーメンが運ばれてきました✨ どう見ても美味しそうな風貌です( ・∇・)

まずは、スープを飲みます！ ビジュアルは背脂たっぷり感があるのですが、いざ飲むと甘い✨ やはり！スープがメチャクチャ美味しいですね〜(((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o))) いつ飲んでも美味しいです♪

角煮の肉はホロホロでとろけるし、メンマも大きくて噛み応え抜群です☆ 味玉は半分食べても美味しいのですが、残りをスープに漬けると美味しさ倍増です(ﾟ▽ﾟ) ニンニクも生のニンニクをすり潰すから、ニンニクの風味抜群で超絶美味しい味付けになりましたよ(((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o)))

スープも、背脂が溶けていってるのかな？ 味がどんどん変わっていく様子も、とても美味しく食べられました(((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o))) いつ来ても美味しく食べられますね✨

I got hungry on the way home from drinking, so while I was waiting for the train, I filled up at the main store of Bankara in Ikebukuro (・∀・) The main store of Bankara is located on the west side of Ikebukuro, near the east exit, a short walk towards Mejiro (°▽°)

Because of COVID-19, it's been about three years since I last visited✨ The interior of the store felt new, but that's to be expected‼ ️ It was a reopening (o^^o)

When I entered the store, I first bought a meal ticket☆ Today I bought a ramen from Kakuni Bankara and submitted a free seasoned egg ticket for the reopening ( ^ω^ ) I sat down and handed the ticket to the staff (ﾟ∀ﾟ)

The ramen was brought to me in just over five minutes✨ It looked delicious no matter how you look at it ( ・∇・)

First, I drank the soup! It looks like it has a lot of back fat, but it's sweet when you drink it✨ As expected! The soup is so delicious (((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o))) It's delicious no matter when you drink it♪

The braised pork is so tender that it melts in your mouth, and the bamboo shoots are big and chewy☆ It's delicious even if you eat half of the seasoned egg, but if you dip the rest in the soup, it's twice as delicious (ﾟ▽ﾟ) The garlic is also crushed raw, so it has a great garlic flavor and is an incredibly delicious seasoning (((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o)))

I wonder if the back fat is melting in the soup? It was very delicious to watch the taste change (((o(ﾟ▽ﾟ)o))) It's delicious no matter when you come✨

Do yourself a favor and come here instead of the place down the road that always has an hour wait (Mutekiya). As an American, I'm used to really flavorful food, and have struggled to find ramen in Japan that lives up to their description as having a "strong and flavorful broth". Out of Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto this shop has the most flavorful, delicious broth I've tasted by far. The broth is pretty fatty and the food is a little expensive by Japanese standards, but dang it's good. The pork melts in your mouth and they're generous with the portions. Get some gyoza or karaage with your ramen to get the full experience (they were super good as well)....

A small place that can sit just around 10 at the bar, serving good ramen! Friendly staff. You buy from a ticket vending machine. Tried the completely default, no toppings version, on a cold day, and it was great. The ginger broth one too, but I think it might not be to everyone's taste. Some might also find it more oily than expected, but I'm ok. All in all, a really excellent choice, especially at the price point. Would totally...
